I didn't find a dedicated thread for this when I searched so we might as well have one to kick off the year.

Here is the Jan 1 update for 2026.

--

Thank you for being patient with us during the month December as we took some time off from posting on social media however we are still working towards bringing this toyline to fruition. We’ve paid for more molds to be made trying to pump out figures before Chinese New Year still. Soon as we get pictures from the factory on the molds we’ll share. We are working on Athena and the rest of the females as we want you all to have a better idea of the female figures when we send out the backerkit survey. Might also have a better sneak peek of the Brutal Beast figures with the backer survey as well. Still planning on launching that this month so we can update the factory if any numbers change.

Being a first-timer I didn't trust them enough to back on KS, but I definitely put in an order for a couple with BBTS. I love the size and crossover range on the shoulders and am excited to have one I my hands.

This line is moving at a ridiculously glacial pace. It's almost as bad as Chicken Fried Toys.
Also.. I don't think the figures look very good so far. Kind of... disjointed. The range looks good, but it doesn't look well-integrated and that makes them feel dated already. Maybe that'll change with the final figures but... meh. I've cancelled most of my pre-orders for these. If they turn out okay I'll still get the one or two, but that's it.

On the flip side, the Laurel & Hardy KS I backed has the figures almost arriving at the ports in LA with a few weeks, then proceeding to the shipper to get packed and sent out to backers.

Latest update:

Factory informed us last night that they will have the painted and official mold color EP’s done for the three Barbarian Warriors: Jagun, Chetan, Krieger and Cro-Magnon done by the end of the week unfortunately it’s not in time to have shipped for display at Toylanta. But we will have the test shot we’ve shown before for anyone to play with and check out the articulation range and feel without worrying about breaking like our prototypes. So that means the timeline now is if all notes are addressed in the EP’s than the FEP’s (Final Engineering Pilot) we should get in April and then production begins. We’re paying them in advance for the materials to get it going asap.

Hopefully you all realize how close we are to production and are excited. Let’s Get Brutal!"

They left out that you need to wait for your spot in the queue to come up once you say 'go.' So, it's not like you get the FEP and they start production the next day. So, generously, that puts fulfillment beginning around late August/early Sep. But, more realistically, November would be my guess.

I didn't realise the brutal part of their branding was production time and competence.

I don't know anything about the Brutal Realm guy/guys. I have no idea what experience they really have. But all of their updates have left me doing the side-eye a little bit at their capability to really run this project and springboard into a full-fledged toy company. I don't think, and I'm not suggesting, they are intentionally dishonest. I think they're just yadda-yadda-ing over a lot of things. "We just get this FEP and then we're done." Yeah.. IF it's totally correct and requires no further revisions (if it does, that could put you back months as you go back and forth with the factory, wait for them to recut tooling or whatever else they need to do to fix the issue, wait for them to produce another sample and send it to you, etc).
Once you say 'this FEP is perfect... unleash the Kraken!' - they will invariably respond with 'we are currently in production phase and will put you next in the queue.' Which potentially means you're waiting another month for a different project to finish up before yours even starts. Then it's several months from start of production to arrival on US soil.

And all of that ignores the fact that this KS funded almost 2 years ago and they don't even have finalized tools yet. That's pretty damn unacceptable.

I think I'd rather rehab a stab wound than recover from that comment.

I paid for Athena and the other woman blanks.

So I'm not even getting updates on my stuff. I'm in Middle School watching my older cousin stress about Senior Prom plans and fantasizing about my turn.
