Boss Fight Studios 1/12 and EPIC HACKS

The MeToo era was instructive. I try to keep my parasocial relationships with celebrities at arm's length now.
Sorry to pull this back up, but hoo boy the #1 specific drum I beat is that parasocial relationships of any kind with actual humans are inherently unhealthy and that ultimately we should avoid them entirely.
“Never, ever ‘follow’” is my mantra.

Sigh, Conan is cool.

So, in anticipation of Conan and Belit, I wanted to see what I thought of Boss Fights 1/12 offerings. And after some favorable reviews by you guys on here, I purchased Red Sonja and the Barbarian Skeleton Warrior.

I have to say, I really enjoy both of them. But Sonja is fantastic. I was worried about how her swappable joints might be, and how well or poorly things would port in like her armors and scabbards. I have 1/18th Boss Fight figures, and some of them are a pain when it comes to those areas.

But Sonja was very easy when it came to swapping parts and armors or tabbing in scabbards or armor. At first it seemed like everything was a mess on her with all the armors and weapons. But after just a bit of messing around with the figure, it all fits and lays so well.

The figure is durable, well made, and so much fun to play with due to all the options of display and how poseable she is.

I really enjoy the Skeleton Warrior as well. The Barbarian looks great with Sonja, and I'm sure it will look great with Conan and Belit.

The Skeleton may not be as sturdy as Sonja but articulates very easy which surprised me. I was afraid to move it. But it moves, articulates, and poses well.

Red Sonja is far more substantial and way more fun. But I am really happy to have both figures and eagerly await these Conan figures.

Yea the skeletons will probably weaken faster over time unfortunately or I'd buy some for my figures to fight. I don't wanna pay that much for something that may not last a couple years. I have other monsters and men for that, but skeletons would've been cool.
