Anyone in to these? They're small(ish) model kits you put together. They have a couple of different scales. My youngest son LOVES them...and I do too actually. He has quite the collection of the smaller blind box style figures. They're cheap enough at regular retail ($5 if I remember right) but I found a guy on Ali Express who has them for $3. I got my order in this week, and the boxes are all in Chinese, but the product is exactly the same.

I've never seen these in-store but have had them in my cart for a minute on Aliexpress. Might have to bite if they're cheaper than at Walmart or wherever. Haven't seen 'em so I really had no idea on price. I really want Tarn who has been my favorite TF figure, maybe ever (the recent version).

Are yours the 5.5cm ones? I'm not even sure which size I'd prefer. Time to deep dive some reviews.

The ones we have are the step up from the 5.5cm version. They’re maybe 4”? I’ll have to take some pics of my sons collection.

I think I saw these at a Walmart recently, they had Prime and Bee. At Walmart they were around $15-$16, I wonder if those were the same things you're talking about? The packaging wasn't extremely clear on what exactly they were, but the box sure looked cool.

Are they similar to building a build-a-figure? Arms/legs into body, add the head? Or are there more pieces than that?

Edit: nevermind, I went and found pics that pretty clearly state the part count. How did I miss that in-store? lol These look cool!

Just saw a box of these at WM. They were ones based on the One animated film. Have other, non-One, waves shown up at WM?

The first wave showed up earlier this year I think (might have been last year). There are 4-5 waves of G1 style characters.

I recently picked up the Action Edition Optimus Prime and Megatron from the larger scale line.
I put Prime together yesterday, and will likely tackle Megatron this weekend.

Some quick pics.

I have also grabbed some of the smaller sets. 3 from my LCS and nabbed Kickback, Jazz and IDW Shattered Glass Prime, and I grabbed 2 of the TF:One figures from a local WM and got Wheeljack and Sentinel Prime out of those.

my local WM got in more of the One blokees. Wish they had some G1 boxes. I'd take a gamble on picking one up.

I picked up one of the little Transformers One kits from my local Wal-Mart the other day, despite never seeing the movie amd generally being a "Transformers should actually transform" kinda collector. The dang thing was so much fun to build and play with, and damn good quality for 4.84 plus tax, that I went back and bought 3 more. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more Blokees stuff in the future.

Put Megatron together today. He went together much faster than Prime did for me, probably because I got my feet wet with him first.

You could say I was primed to build Megatron after Optimus. (Thanks, I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your waiter)

Anyway..... Quick shots of glorious leader, Megatron.

and a friend asked how big he was, so I took this for scale for him.

Picked up my first Action ed. Blokee, Soundwave, from a comic shop. He's got the "hand candy" traits. I keep picking him up to fiddle with and might give him the edge over another recent purchase, the plastic version of Yolopark Megatron. Actually, I'm going to say he's my favorite toy of the week over some heavy hitters, like, Psylocke, S.N.A.K.E., and C.L.A.W. The only issue I have is his torso and waist don't mate with a nice click like his limbs, so he tends to separate at the waist.

I ran into an assembly error on my part. My old eyes have trouble with certain parts and their diagrams. I assembled the inner crotch piece incorrectly and had to pull out some needle nose plyers and a small screw driver to separate the parts. It was not easy and even drew a little blood. I think I might've had an easier time working off a PDF that I could zoom in on.

I also bought my first Blokee and he's nice! Bought a Transformers One and got Megatron, good pull. I'm also hoping I can find some more recognizable designs to buy, maybe just get them off AliExpress at this point since WM selection is bad.

So are these only blind bags? If so, is there a way to find out which is which? Or is there somewhere to get them individually? I'm trying to decipher all of this. I like the look of some of these and they may satisfy my transformer itch I've developed lately as they seem small enough so I don't have to dedicate too much space for them. I saw a few of the One figures at Walmart, but I don't much care for the One designs, and I've seen online pictures of some of the others, but I'm trying to figure out the different scales and classes.

I don't believe there is a way to tell the blind bags apart. I'm not a big Transformers collector but I thought they looked fun, we're cheap and picked up a few. That lasted until I grabbed my first double and I haven't bothered with them since.

I don't know if I'm just old, but who's clamoring for this blind bag nonsense? My daughters are teens and they don't particularly like them. It's like throwing money away most times.

I haven't gotten into the bigger kits but Salem Crow's Optimus and Megatron pics look good. Particularly Megatron.
