Blokees Transformers

I got the case of Defender Beast Wars guys last night, and they're hella fun and cute. I'm fairly miffed that Primal and MegaRex don't come with their weapons when basic Cheetor does; but the figures themselves are great. I could easily stick with Defender scale for BW and hope they do BM in Galaxy.

I got in a case of the Blokees Wheels vehicles, since I'm a total mark for the IDW designs. Looking forward to cracking them open over the weekend.

I’m curious how big they are compared to defenders. I think they might be bigger but not really sure.

Yah, that's the same Cheetor I got in my Defender case. I swapped Gorilla Primal's arms onto Bot Primal and love him even more.

I snagged Galaxy Tarn, another Arcee for a custom, and 2x more pairs of Defender Primal in both modes. I'm thinking to try making Beast Machines Primal with some swapping around and paint.

I received the Bruticus combining kit from BBTS yesterday, and got him put together. Couple of things. There are a couple of different sized pegs for the shoulders and toe assemblies. Make sure you put the larger peg on the shoulder assembly, and the smaller one on the toe. If not, you have to struggle to take them apart with pliers, and mar the plastic to hell. The shoulders only have hinge up and down, and the arms can swing 360 on the pegs. There is no forward or back articulation, so some poses just don't work. Overall though, he's much sturdier than Devestator. I know it's a product of how Devy combines, but the feet are much more stable on Bruticus. Less talk, more pictures.

I ended up with a few boxes, one is Galaxy 08 and I don't remember what the other was (it had dino and bot Grimlock in it, as well as Starscream, etc.). Haven't opened Galaxy 08 yet, but that first box was a lot of fun to put together. And, for their part, these things are adorable lol I'm going to hide them randomly on shelves like little Gremlins.

I also picked up Action Soundwave, for the tape bots mostly. If the tapes look as good in person as they do on the box, I may end up putting them in my regular TF's display...I've never been real happy with the transforming versions, particularly Ravage, and these look as close to animation accurate as I've ever seen them. I have Action Tarn on the way, too. The model kits on sprues appeals to me a ton, I originally was going to go in on Yolopark but then I found out that those are more or less like build a figures instead of model kits so I think Blokees is the brand for me. I have the plastic Megs and Optimus from Yolo, and they are ok, but they're light and they feel cheap. Also only took about 30 seconds to put together, which was a letdown.

I'm no good with painting/gluing kits, so these being fully painted and snap together is right up my alley lol
