Blokees Transformers

Just as an fyi re: Eva. It’s definitely more of a full blown model kit than the galaxy figures.

I am pretty sure the girl figures/models are basically assembled like a Blokees. I got the Miku for my daughter for Xmas and wanted to look up how it assembled before I got it for her, and it’s basically like legs and arms you plug together into a body that’s pretty much already assembled.

But the Eva looks like it’s individual parts on a sprue you assemble to make the body. It’s not 100% clear to me if the body is pre assembled though, it might be like a black tube with articulation and you clip the armor on, I couldn’t really tell from the video i watched. But the arms are definitely not fully assembled out of the box.

Articulation looks half decent on the finished product though
 
That's how my classic Soundwave was.

I'm not excited about it, but I do want the units to display behind the pilots. Talking with some hardcore EVA and gunpla dudes, I was told the Yolos felt chintzy and not as good as the TFs.

These seem like the only budget options compared to the Bandai kits and Revoltech.

I grabbed both Mikus on Ali to go with my other Figures With Guitars.

The Bandai Real grade is really cool and has really neat articulation in the legs. Theres like these parts in the thigh that sort of “float” in these hinges and when you move the legs they adjust like musculature. But it’s also very stylized and takes a while to assemble (and has a lot of stickers, etc).

I’m planing to pick up the Blokees action editions too though (even though I have so many TVs models I’m not sure why lol),

I don’t know if you saw but Blokees is also coming out with a TV version, and it has the proportions from the tv show too. It’s not just a recolor
 
All news to me, I appreciate you taking the time to spread the enthusiasm and info.

I saw the Blokees have the cockpit/seats as an option with their pilots? But when I looked on Ali it didn't look like it was included.

You know for that matter, and maybe we should just have an Eva thread at this point, but what versions are all these representing? I'm not really a stickler I'm just curious.

Eva thread might make sense there is honestsly many Eva figs in general.

Here’s what I know/think I have pieced together for Blokees re: Eva.

- the current models are based on the rebuild movies. I believe this includes the pilots.
- This is the TV version.

- I think the pilots all have 2 versions a regular which is just the pilot and a deluxe that includes the cockpit. I’m not sure if there’s is any other differences or not. I don’t think the cockpit ones are out yet
 
Am I crazy that this rough matte metallic finish looks all-wrong in channeling the anime look? Otherwise it looks really cool.


Is tokullectibles a good place from which to preorder? otherwise just waiting for blokees website. or just wait for them to do it without this finish, repaint/resealing could be fun

I agree that the the metallic doesn’t feel right for the anime.

The anime tv look is a lighter almost pink type of purple imo.

Edit: looking it up I guess that is just the chest. It’s a pretty deep purple for the rest
