As seen at Toy Expo Thailand.

These are the 3" scale version.

These might be the 4-5" version.

These look cool. But the size is a big (or a rather small) problem. I wish these were 6". It would be cool to have cheap stormtroopers.

You read that right. No Tunes tonight. Sorry. Tonight though, is something different. While out of town this weekend, I found a Blokees Star Wars Stormtrooper. My youngest son has been in to the Transformers Blokees for a long time now, so I was excited when I saw this one on the shelf. Blokees, for those that don’t know, are a fully articulated model kit. They are a kin to the Bandai Model Kits you see at Hobby Lobby, but a lot easier to put together. No glue is necessary, and you normally don’t need snips to get the parts off the sprues, but they don’t hurt to have on hand. As I said, I’ve put together a lot of the Transformers kits, but the Star Wars ones are just hitting retail. There is a lot of familiarity with the larger scale kits like this to the smaller ones, but they tend to be a bit more complex, but still straightforward when putting them together. I sat down to put this guy together, and over all it took a little over an hour, but that was with a couple of small breaks to help with some household tasks. The articulation once complete is fantastic. The head is on a full ball joint. There are double joints at the elbows and knees, ball hinge joints at the wrists and ball joints at the shoulders and hips. The ankles have rocker joints, AND toe articulation. Ther are two points of articulation in the torso. One under the pecs, and one at the waist, giving him a decent amount of movement. As you can see, unfortunelty they are a little shorter than your standard Black Series trooper (I don’t have a Storm Trooper on hand…sue me). Overall, I’m happy with the build, and final product. I don’t see me getting a full line, but I would pick up a couple different characters like Mando, Boba Fett, and maybe some Clones.

Also while in Vermont, I hit up the Bevie and found some Bissell Brothers Reciprocal IPA. I haven’t had this in a long time and was happy to grab it. I’ve had this a few times in the past but never realized it had Vic Secret hops. There is fruity, but soft taste, with a bit of a dry end. Maine beers hit a lot differently from some of the ones I’ve been drinking recently. I should see if I can get a mule for some more Bissell Brothers.

Overall Ratings. Figure 4.75:5. Beer 4.25:5.

Found a Stormtrooper a couple nights ago at Walmart and put him together last night. Definitely worth the $14.99 Walmart is charging. I'm away on vacation and had no problem breaking the pieces off the sprues without tools and getting them together. He's well articulated and pretty fun once together. Love the pointing finger hand.

My only complaint would be I had a hard time reading the parts numbers on the white sprues, even while wearing glasses.

Okay these are now on my radar. I plan on getting all the Marvel ones because I love the MCU Cap one. I saw they are now doing Bespin Luke, Hoth Leia, R2D2 , New Hope Han and Chewie. Adding in the Stormtroopers and Darth Vader from a New Hope and now Empire. I had a lot of fun building Cap and have no doubt these will be just as fun.
