Big Bad Workshop General

I have the regular set. It's cool. I like it. I got it for the original listed price of like 44.99 or whatever, before they raised it up 10 bucks. I gotta be honest and say I don't think it's worth the increased price. And I definitely don't think it's worth an increased price just because they throw in some totally random mummy wrappings that don't even make any sense with the figure.

Apparently it’s a rip off of a DC pulp cover

This won't surprise anyone, but FMF confirmed on FB that the Voyagers line is indefinitely on hold due to BBTS' lack of interest.

Would've been curious to see where that line went. Selfishly, it seemed like a landing spot for a possible MUTON homage figure, but some cool space stuff in general would've been cool to see.

I'm still curious about where FMF ends and BBWS begins.

It very much seems like FMF is just a subsidiary of BBTS now; they're the only ones carrying their product and if BBTS doesn't want it, then there's never going to be enough support to get it made. I do wish that relationship were a bit more transparent.

I think we've all been waiting for that, to be honest. How long has it been since Voyagers was first shown off? 3 years, I think. I'd be surprised if some of those designs don't make it into BBWS's other brands or as stand-alone releases or something. But the Jolly Rancher space guys, in my opinion, had extremely limited appeal and it's deeply unsurprising that BBTS would not want to risk a whole group of them.

I could see TV-head Guy making it into Monster Force at some point. And I could see them also finding a spot for that Eagle Force guy with the bodysuit and jetpack.

I assume BBTS is basically their biggest investor which gives them a lot of say over what gets made or doesn't. And as seemingly their only storefront, if they don't like something they can refuse to actually carry it. It would be interesting to know if FMF is permitted to independently produce a figure and sell it elsewhere or if their relationship with BBTS makes that impossible.
