Big Bad Workshop General

Also, is that Force Ghost Abe Lincoln?!
Well that's a weird one. Can't even imagine what time of explorer goes with Force Ghost Lincoln.

I also just spotted a clip of the Raven Society with another "Who's Next" clue. There's a movie sound clapper, a knife, and some gizmo that I can't quite make out but is probably critical to figuring out who it is. The knife and clapper make me think of Hitchcock, but I don't know what that gizmo would be.

Some sort of sci-fi blaster or power drill?

There are similarities to Abe's origin, but it's not 1 to 1.

Abe Sapien was discovered when a hospital was undergoing renovations, which resulted in a wall being broken down and a secret chamber was discovered, this chamber contained a water filled pod that had him inside it, with a label being the year that Lincoln was assassinated, and was named Abe.

Abe was once a Victorian era gentleman named Langdon Everett Caul who was an undersea explorer and occultist obsessed with Atlantis, he was part of a group of similar undersea explorers and occultists. One day while exploring the sea he found a weird egg, took it back to the surface, and started doing rituals on it, one ritual had him see his future self (Abe was doing a vision quest to learn who he used to be), Langdon freaked out, the egg crumbled, and something started to change Langdon, his group stuck him in the tank, where he would be rediscovered later.

Is there a bunch of cool stuff?

Yes. I'd like a Poe, for sure. Tarzan and Jane look fun. The NPCs look cool. Skycaptain stuff looks really fun. Lizard spaceman guy is super cool. Fish guy looks -awesome-.

But it's all a joke at this point, isn't it? Pre-order after pre-order after pre-order after pre-order just isn't exciting to me.

Yes, huge Hellboy fan here, I know Abe's entire story. But I'm still surprised by the "discovered in suspended animation" similarity here.

I've only been ordering from their Monster Force line so far. Are there still a lot of pre-orders still outstanding for their other lines?

I will say, there've been a lot of reveals, but it's actually the lack of pre-orders for any of those that have me frustrated.

I was referring to all these new reveals. When they put them up it's just a fuckton of pre-orders. There's no 'here's new product that's actually out.' I'm burnt out on pre-ordering stuff that will come.... eventually.. someday.

But then things arrive and folks still get mad because it's too much at once for them.

The only thing I currently have PO'd from them is Santa's sleigh. I know the MF Dark Directives wave is on PO as well, but can't recall if anything else of theirs is up in the air at this point.

I used to own that 5POA Edgar Allen Poe figure. I will buy this one. Big fan. I'll put him right by the collected works I have. BUT... I'm struggling to think there's a whole lot of 'me' out there ready and waiting to buy a 40+ dollar Poe figure.

I love Poe but there's a second motivation for me here. I was so starved for civilian figures growing up (used a Pocket Heroes Jor-El with custom glasses made from a plastic ring as Commissioner Gordon) that I buy almost every 1:12 suited figure released for customs. I'm like that adult whose diet is terrible because he never got sweet cereal as a kid.
