Literally one of the hottest scenes in ANY movie, ever, was in the Clive Owen version of King Arthur. There's a scene where the Bretons are fighting alongside Arthur and Keira Knightley's character (Guin) is garroting a guy from behind while screaming in his face. Does it for me every time. Give me angry, violent women. I make no apologies.

Running gag with my friends is that they'll be like "hey want to watch Matt turn into a puddle? MATT! JACK FROM MASS EFFECT?"

I mean Karlach: scary cos she can break your neck, golden retriever energy, marry me material
Shadowheart: scary murderous goth girl energy, but if you run the game long enough she's like the healthiest potential relationship ever
Or even Lae'zel: would literally choke you out but actually just wants to be loved and doesn't know how to express it except through anger

The game is a goddamned buffet of scary-hot women

(Ride or die Karlach though, 10/10 would follow her to Avenus)

I do enjoy Laezel as a character. I was a bard. So I always had her and Karlach as my front liners to abuse the Shove rule changes. Protect me, senpais.

Both Lae'zel and Shadowheart have the challenge of you have to get to know them before you find out why they're amazing. Like, the great part of the writing of the game is there's a reason they're prickly and scary and if you show them empathy and kindness they will tell you why and become better for it. Whenever I start a play through I gotta talk myself out of two out of three play throughs. (I accidentally ended up in a Shadowheart/Halsin polycule in one play through and I was like "this is healthier than any of my real-life relationships hss ever been and I don't know how I feel about that.)

(Karlach's just a doll from go though, if you don't mind the occasional house fire.)

Okay the more we joke and chat about this line the more I really wish they were coming up sooner cos these build-your-own-story classic adventurer type figures are something they could make infinite variations of and they'd be fun to buy.
