I liked the look of the Mogwai but didn't really like the original all that much if I recall. Probably should watch it again, it has been a long time. It is possible that some of it being a spoof went over my head at 16.

Really stoked if this does turn out to be true. Sounds like it's early stages- maybe just barely in/past the script process, but seems they're at least making active plans for it, and it depends on whether or not Brendan and Rachel actually sign on (assuming they aren't already?). Radio Silence is apparently tapped to direct, which I'd be down for. They seem to have a good handle on the horror/comedy balance that's needed for something like this.
As always, take it with a grain of salt until things are officially announced, but it's promising. Would love a return to form for the series, and would love an updated line of figures too- it surprises me no one has ever really tried making Mummy figures in over 20 years.

I was SO surprised by Dungeons and Dragons- turned out to be one of the most fun movies of the year, and a constant comfort rewatch for me since. They have my trust for Star Trek; I'm sure it won't be everyone's cup of tea- them Trekkies may not be as intense as Star Wars nerds, but they have their moments- but as long as the studio lets them do their thing, I'm sure it'll be a blast!
