I only bought two Marvel Legends this year. There was a lot of good stuff, but I want to keep my collection quite limited and only really go for things that I either really like, would photograph, or keep on display (which is quite small).
With infinite money/space, this would have been a lot longer and Shuma-Gorath would have been number 3!
So in very short order of preference:
1. Maximum Spider-Man
Even though I usually prefer smaller lenses on Spider-Man, this one really hits the 90's nostalgia. It also poses incredibly well, while feeling quite sturdy (compared to my Revoltech Spider armor Mk 4). Some of the accessories are really fun too, favourite might be the spider shield. I still need to cover it with a matte spray and fix the back spider, but it's permenantly on my shelf.
Only real downside for me are the alternate heads. The Peter Parker head is honestly quite frightening, so it stays hidden in a box forever where it can't hurt anyone, and the alternate masked head is so similar to the standard head that it seems a bit redundant.
2. Extremis Iron Man - Two Pack
I really enjoy the Knaufs' Iron Man run, and so love this suit. The articulation on the older Extremis bothered me enough that I never bought it, so I had been really looking forward to this one. Actually only got it yesterday and it's honestly pretty great. Poses really nicely and (aside from a bit of a gummy feeling ab-crunch) feels quite sturdy.
Only negative is that there's a weird paint defect on the mask, and what looks like some ink splatter on the power disks, which is a bit odd. Also would have preferred the Tony head without the cowl, but it at least fits with the comic.
Technically, I also got the Mandarin this year, but it doesn't make the list. The angry head seems like it was made for a different body, and he seems a bit small and noodley for a raging Mandarin.
I would have preferred if Dum Dum Dugan had been included instead, as I really like him in that story arc and I'll never be able to justify the Shield 3 pack
