I was just curious if anyone here has done it yet. I was thinking about trying a few with different scenarios. I haven't done one yet, but a former coworker of mine posted his on LinkedIn and it came out really cute. Then the anchors on a local news channel did some this morning and I got a kick out of it. I'm also thinking about surprising family members with some

Mine came out pretty close!

A couple years back, my boyfriend and I got one of those little 3D printed statues of us. Not AI, and not posable, so not sure if it really counts, but it's held up well- arguably better than me!

Not to yuck anyone's yum, but I'm not a fan of the AI craze at all, especially since a lot of my friends are artists or have jobs that AI is, or would be, taking away. My boyfriend loves it, mostly to make his favorite singers sing songs they never will/would, and it's a little maddening to me. Cool for a second, but the more I think about it and ruminate on it and its effects, the more I spiral. Don't even get me started on kids using it to do their schoolwork or people using it and claiming the piece to be their original work. Like Wicker_Basket said, I'd much rather just pay a person rather than teach my successor how to make me obsolete.

I guess that officially makes me an old man, because this is one craze I just don't understand and can only complain about.

That's funny. At least you have a record that will last many lifetimes of how you were at the moment. :) Likely will last longer than most people who take pics on their phones and then lose them when they upgrade w/o ever transferring them.

As far as AI in general: Yeah, I mean we've been getting warnings from scientists & Science Fiction authors (and I'm talking the real genius types, not pulp hacks) since what, the 40s? So we knew it would get here eventually during our lifetimes. And of course it starts getting used for bad right out of the gate whether used for falsifying identities for job interviews/applications or financial hacking/identity theft. It's scary.
