That's funny, because that's what's kinda pulling me in. It'll have a different look, but similar enough. I'm more concerned about it being a little small at just 7", but if I pose him crouched or lunging, that's easy to hide.
 
The Xeno is awesome, I'm just wondering if I can justifying paying double for it vs NECA. It'd be displayed with my ML figs, so the scale would be more accurate, but Aliens seem to vary in size from movie to comic to TV, so... they're kinda like Venom & Juggernaut! Is there a truly accurate size?

In universe, the xenomorphs vary in size and appearance for a variety of reasons. In some cases, it depends on what creature they gestated in, as they take on aspects of that host. In some cases, like in Romulus, genetic engineering is involved by scientists. Lastly, there is the fact that, much like many insect colonies, different xenomorphs serve different purposes within the hive. There are workers, warriors, drones, etc., as well as certain specialized xenos like the queen and the praetorians.

All this is to say, if you want to fudge in a slightly smaller xeno into your display, it totally works. I really like this figure, and the stylized bits actually make him appealing to me as I could headcanon him into being a specialized member of the hive. The price is really the only thing that makes me hesitate.

So wait, is that Captain Commando they showed 1/12? I thought someone said it was 1/6 and it got me real bummed out. I'd love for him to be 6". I remember really liking the old ToyBiz version as a kid.

I wasn't necessarily in for the Alien figure, but the stylization works better for me with Predator. Looks like he also comes in classic flavors. If nothing else, a classic predator in 1/12 scale might have me. I have had NECA predators before, but I didn't want to collect a different scale, and this solves that issue nicely.
 
Predators are supposed to be taller than regular humans, so them being 7" figures among "normal" 1/12 scale humans (or super humans) works. Having 1 as tall as or shorter than someone like MCU DD doesn't seem as threatening.

From the signage here, these are 18cm, so in the 7" range relative to normal 1/12. The NECA figures I had were always listed as "7 inch scale" but in hand were always near or over 8" tall and seemed IMMENSE next to a standard Marvel legend/GI Joe classified. I think these will be just about perfect scale-wise. I do want them bigger, just not that much bigger.
