I don't collect 3.75", but these seems pretty cool for Vintage Collection fans who might be interested in a complementary classic BSG line.

I wouldn't get the figures, but I'd probably get a Viper and Raider (if they made them). They do look nice, though.

Depending on price, but I've really been wanting a BSG Viper toy. Thought about getting an Eaglemoss or one of those pre-assembled "model kits". But maybe I'll just get this one.

the figures will be tempting as well.

Wish someone would make a 1:12 or 1:10 scale original series Cylon figure. I know DST made some pseudo-retro ones from the sci-fi show, but those figures apparently weren't the most solid of figures.

I have pretty much all of the Eaglemoss Vipers and they are fantastic. Nice and heavy, and big, with lots of detail. Granted they are just solid models so you won't have opening cockpits, landing gear, etc. However they display great and I really can't stress enough how heavy they are and that adds a bit of "something" to them in my opinion.

I took a look on eBay and it looks like most versions of the Viper from Eaglemoss (excluding rarities, and exclusives) are going in and around $80-$100US.

Looking at Factory Entertainment's website they don't have anything yet for figures of any kind except for a couple of 1:6 James Bond figures for a pretty steep price of around $350US for a figure similar to Hot Toys (but looking like it doesn't have quite as much included for added value). Going on that I would imagine they'll come in a bit higher than what the current market seems to be for 3.75" figures and vehicles. So I wouldn't be surprised to see the figures in the $25-$30US range and the Viper at least being $100US.

Hopefully I am wrong and they are cheaper.

I'd like to be all over that Viper. Love that ship. Sadly, there's recent reports out there that it'll be $200-$250, which is way out of my price range.

Fortunately, I too have most of the Eaglemoss Vipers and they really are great. I guess I just gotta be happy with those.

I also have the Joy Ride version from the early 2000s (I think, maybe even late '90s) and it's also a really nice representation. It's more like a Action Fleet or Star Wars Micro Galaxy version.

A bigger version would be cool, though. I don't have much use for 1:18 scale stuff these days but I'd make a spot for a Viper.

Even though I'm not really into 1:18 stuff anymore, I still have a fair share of it. So a 1:18 Viper is appealing. I have a little Hasbro (I think) Titanium Viper which is cool, so I do have a representation of the Viper. While the Eaglemoss look like, they'd also be kind of one-off random display pieces. The appeal of a 1:18, while taking up way more space than an Eaglemoss, would at least scale with stuff like my Joytoy Warhammer figures. There's an appeal to a large toy of the Viper.

Hell, I'm not even into Space:1999 but I was sorta tempted by their 1:18 Eagles. A friend of mine has 1 or 2 on order. Something about vehicles which work with figures is so much more appealing to me than essentially models or statues. just love toys I guess. So even though this Viper would be expensive and large at $250, it's also kind of a one-time purchase of something long desired. I don't have a feeling of committing to a new line if it's just a few pieces and then I'm done.

I'm really not into that scale anymore but gawd I loved that show and those toys as a kid. I could see if this was a limited set picking up a few figures just for nostalgia.

Yeah if that price is accurate Factory Entertainment can keep it, turn that sumbitch sideways and stick it ...............

Not a chance that Viper would be worth $200US+ without at least one figure and being teched out to the hilt (lights, sounds, firing weapons, etc.).

One reason I have hopes for this line is that it isn't that deep for the main cast:
- three major bad guys (Baltar, Lucifer, Imperious Leader)
- bridge leadership (Adama, Tighe, Athena)
- maybe a few others (Cassiopeia, Boxey a+ Muffit, Jolly, Sheba, Serina)

That's 16 figures with potential for reuse:
Adama and Tighe could share the same buck, which could be repurposed for Jolly without a jacket;
Serina and Sheba could share a female pilot buck;
Athena and Cassioppeia (in her uniform) could possibly use the same buck as well

Similarly, after the Viper only other viable ship would be a Cylon Raider.

I would be tempted by the Viper even at $200, if it is truly close to scale at about 18" to 20" long.
