2026-2027 Rumor/Leak List - New Year, New Thread!

I don't have Gamerverse Psylocke. Are her leg bands sculpted at all? Or just painted. if painted, yeah...plenty of other characters who could use that body as a base. It has been a while since we've gotten a red Elektra, right? She seems due for another figure.

I think Gamerverse Psylocke in darker purple would be a good default comic Psylocke and can see that happening. Certainly the Gamerverse can fill that role, but the colors are a bit brighter than what I envision when I picture her comic look.

I feel like another Elektra is certainly coming, but I'm expecting it will be a repaint of the white Elektra from the 3-pack in red this time. She might eventually end up on the Gamerverse Psylocke body, but probably not this next one.

For Psylocke, I really only want an official Kwannon version now. I fully expect that the next one we get will be a repaint in the black and silver X-Force colors (again) as that's the team they seem to be prioritizing right now.

..there was an AOA Betsy? I genuinely have no memory of her in the entire thing..!
It's not her best look.

She appeared in the Chris Bachalo revisiting of the AOA when it was revealed the X-Men could take nuclear missiles to the face after killing Apocalypse and live to tell about it. I always liked that AOA ENDED that way, but they've managed to drudge it up for various revisits. Personally I always preferred Lobdell's finality of it all that the AOA X-Men sacrificed themselves to restore reality with Bishop's help.

I don't remember Betsy ever appearing in the 90s AOA, but there was mention of a "brain trust" of psychics that were kept in Sinister's lab made up of brains in jars from among various Marvel psychics, I always assumed Betsy was one of those.

Who knows...maybe we'll get multiple Psylockes in one year. Hasbro can sometimes show some favoritism to a character and put out a few versions. Depends on how easy they are to make.
Crazy to read this today as I dreamed tonight that we got a Betsy and Kwannon multi pack with Outback, Disassembled, Revanche and current Kwannon. Yes, I tend to dream with the improbable hehe

Anyway, would love to get all these versions plus a Jim Lee Betsy with a more purple head and accurate Jim Lee new face sculpt.

That Disassembled look is so great. I feel like it's less and less likely to get a figure now since it was so short-lived but they need to bring that look back for Betsy.

I'd love to see Betsy revisit that outfit in the comics. Frankly, I'd love to just see her return as Psylocke. I love Kwannon, and am excited that she's getting a lot of page time, but I never bought the idea that after having Betsy living in her body for so long, the first thing she would want to do was co-opt Betsy's long-time codename and outfit for herself. I'd think, if anything, she'd be deadset on forging her own identity. Likewise, I like a lot of the character development that Betsy has undergone as Captain Britain, but never much loved the outfits. The Knights of X one was an improvement, I thought, and I like the X-Force team outfit, but that one felt more like an attempt to quietly divorce her from the mantle of Captain Britain, and less like a "Captain Britain" outfit, which sort of seems like it should be loud and proud.

I generally agree, but once saw someone make the point that Betsy-in-Kwannon's-body dressed like a Hand assassin, which Kwannon was, but Betsy wasn't, so the style of costume fits her more than it did Betsy to begin with. Kwannon's current costume is much better and would make a good figure imo. The name thing I agree is dumb, clearly just Marvel wanting to have its cake and eat it too for branding purposes even if it makes no sense in-universe for Kwannon to call herself Psylocke. I also think it's dumb that they can't just both use the name even though there are multiple Spider-Men, Wolverines, etc.

Exactly! It never made sense in story neither for Kwannon as the character to take the name but… it is what it is … lazy marketing. For me Betsy should just be called Betsy Braddock or Lady Braddock and rock the Disassembled costume with her sword and shield. It is different enough from Kwannon in the thongkini.

Disassembled is my number one Betsy costume I want.

But I am super excited for her next figure to be the Outback Betsy.

Definitely, but that's not an option. Marvel's most notable Asian hero is a white woman. For that reason, Kwannon has to adopt the Psylocke codename.

It's not an enviable position. The body-swap story was supposed to be short-lived, but Jim Lee's ninja Psylocke was so popular that it endured for like 30 years.

I wouldn't be opposed to them sharing the name, but short of that, Betsy needs her own codename. Break her free from her brother's Captain Britain mantle, too. Give the girl something of her own for once. Put her in the Disassembled costume and give her a new name.
Kwannon's current costume is much better
100%. Kwannon's current costume is sick. That's the version I want on my shelf. I loved Alyssa Wong's solo title.

Prefer Betsy in the asian Psylocke body personally. Partly why I think she and Warren work so well together as a couple. They both were just alright characters and somewhat milquetoast until trauma-inducing authors put them center stage (or at least on either side of Wolverine) and really fleshed them out. Had Betsy stayed the puffy sleeved, purple haired British (appearing) girl, or the armored, caped, and hooded purple fashion statement that was the only girl not hardcore pursuing Longshot in the 80s to an embarrassing degree, I don't know that she'd be as popular as she is now. Likewise, had Warren remained the high-flying Angel and nothing more than a rich guy with wings, I doubt he'd get much of a fan outpouring.

The solo titles have been the best thing about this current X-Comic era except Jean's, sigh. I'd still buy a figure of the Cosmic Queen Phoenix look though, obv.
