2026-2027 Rumor/Leak List - New Year, New Thread!

I'm calling Uncanny X-Force, she and Fantomex are the only holdouts unless they're going to actually give us Wolfsbane, Vanisher, Elixer and an Apocalypsey Archangel by modifying the black and silver one that just came out.
 
They did Psylocke and Fantomex from Uncanny X-Force in the Nimrod three-pack! Not the look she had for much of UXF, but definitely one of her costumes from that run.

Back at the SDCC Legends Panel when Jesse saw the AT card set SDcomics gave him, he mentioned (paraphrasing) we'd see 4 of those cards in 2026.
Armored Outback Betsy was on one of those cards.

I think DMB speculated on the Crimson Dawn version. That way you get just enough differences, plus a version that seems popular enough. Combined with a single figure release of mold reuse.
 
Crimson Dawn is basically swimsuit Psylocke but in darker colors and has the face tattoo. Is that right? If they gave her a non-tattoo alternate head, I'd be ok with it. I didn't get the Gamerverse 2pk version. Never saw it in person. And I didn't need/want the Thanos, as I have plenty of Thanos figures at this point. They did mention trying to get more of the 2pk out to Targets this year, so maybe they wouldn't release a single version of her which is so close to the 2pk. Even though darker colors would make her pop.

Those card options are a pretty great selection. Only 4 from that list for this year? There's a lot of good possibilities. Didn't they mention they had no plans for classic Guardians of the Galaxy? Although the Crystar body is begging to be made into Martinex. From that list, the only ones I don't care about are Armor and Kylun.

Could 2026 finally be the year for Attuma? We got Skurge the Executioner last year (or is that technically a 2026 wave?). Attuma and Annihilus seem like candidates for the next dream BAF. Now that the Marvel Select Annihilus isn't happening, hopefully Marvel Legends can step up and deliver him.
 
-I can see Attuma being the BAF for this upcoming wave with Marrina, tying him in with her as aquatic characters. Attuma is a team completer, finishing off the animated Avengers Cabal.

-Dwight told me that the Guardians were "too difficult", to which I dismantled his comment on Martinex, Charlie-27 and Nikki by offering how they could do all 3 very economically. Starhawk does have the issue with how they would go about engineering his yellow wing/costume attachments. Was Dwight being sincere or was he throwing me a red herring?

-If I were to guess the 4 characters we will see in the 2026 I'd say Magik, armored Outback Psylocke, Attuma and Coipel Thor. Human Torch was on the Invaders card and we pretty much know he's in the mix from SDcomics conversation with Dwight.
 
With so many figures in the pipeline, even Dwight has mentioned its hard to remember which year is getting which upcoming figure. So maybe 4 isn't an exact number. It could have been an "at least 4" type of comment.

I can see them dragging their feet a bit with the original GotG, as they're likely to focus on the more current version the movies are based on. I'm not sure the team is popular enough to warrant a boxed set either.

I see the Invaders getting a boxed set. Didn't someone say they had plans for one and it got pushed back? With Cap being so popular these days, I can see a FA version being in a boxed set. Hasbro obviously has some love for Union Jack, so I think there will be another figure of him soonish. Bucky. Human Torch. The last classic Namor hung around, so I can see them packing into a 2pk or boxed set to help sell him again. So: Cap, Bucky, Human Torch, Namor, and Union Jack. Obviously Toro could replace UJ, but I'm not sure if they'd just put Toro on a teen body and not worry about any sculpted flame detail. Maybe they put Toro in the boxed set and Union Jack would just be a standalone release.
 
Can I just ask, what Magik are we talking about here? It doesn't seem that long since they did the modern version but the New Mutants version? But specifically her, not a two head job as mooted for Doug/Sam?
 
I'm assuming this Magik is her New Mutants look (like TheSameIdiot's avatar). Since she has that one metal arm, I doubt she'll come with alternate heads. Unless she comes with a swappable arm, but I'm not sure if we've ever seen that feature for a regular-release figure. I know she's rumored to be part of the 2nd Secret Wars wave. I think she would work fine on a retro X-Men card and someone else, like Volcanna, should be in the Secret Wars wave. Guess we'll see soon how it all shakes out. since Toy Fair is a month or so away.
