The more I see of this new symbiote gooped Spider-Man, the more frustrating I find the execution. Why they chose a more "modern" body when they've already released a Spider-Man in the Secret Wars wave on a more classic body makes no sense. The way they painted the symbiote is also not well...

The head is a bit if a miss, without question.

The headsculpt isn't the greatest, and definitely more conveys an aging Ruffalo... but it's really not that bad of a figure. Sure it would be nice to have double jointed elbows, but the torso articulation looks like it will allow for some great poses.

I don't mind webshooters at all. I don't even mind overdesigned ones like the PS5 game suit. The webshooters they added for the initial BND movie suit just didn't look great to me. They don't even look like they would be convenient for wrist movement... I have a bunch of Holland heads laying...

Given how generally inaccurate the MCU Spider-Man figures have been - its not too surprising that this new figure is almost entirely a re-use of Final Swing. Hopefully the plastic is better and you get less snapping and sheering off of joints. Hulk is a decent upgrade of the current Savage MCU...

Wonder if this Punisher will come with a bearded head option for collectors to have him stand in as a BND or OLK version. Looks like the suits are different, so hopefully its the BND which looks a bit more comic booky.

In theory this head will fit nicely on the motor cycle release body, as the 2 pack one does - but is a smidge small. The mech head looks a little bigger so it could turn out to be a sweet kitbash.
