In the Prequels do each of Padme's looks count as "women"? Because yes there was more than one - but barely did they speak! Rose Byrne and Keira Knightley, two lines each and one was a death rattle.

Oh wait, Shmi. Okay. Two. Plus a death rattle. Also, Padme.

I think Ahsoka and Asajj are doing a ton of heavy-lifting.

I forgot: Wim was hard to find for awhile. He and Neel were both pricey for a bit until I think Hasbro just gave dumped all their stock to Ross and everyone plummeted.

I think it was Ryan Ting on the 3POA podcast who made a comment about skintones being SUPER paid attention to now. So they are on Hasbro's radar.

The original Greef looked like a wax statue which is another reason he never tempted me. A wax statue dressed in beige.

Let's not forget to show some love for our old ladies, Jira (the old lady from Phantom Menace) and Jocasta Nu. Imagine how differently things would've turned out if Jira hadn't told Ani she felt a storm coming. 🤪 She got a short deleted scene as well, so technically, the 2 line thing continues.

Jocasta Nu, though- I think she had three lines! Plus, she's a badass in the comics, used to be in love with Dooku, and even has Palpatine afraid of her. Where's my Jocasta Nu figure, Hasbro?!

Just comes across a little facetious. I included the Clone Wars (both) and the other cartoons in this. There are a lot of women that fans find cool.

Even among your list that's more than just Leia.

You said "lots of women" - you didn't specify "that mattered" and that's what I riffing on so that's on me. :)

Sorry, on-screen gender inequality has always seriously bugged me. At least Trek did this right past the OT-era - and then of course made us re-live it when they exhumed those characters for the Kelvin movies.
