Probably still doesn't matter. Look how little coverage it gets from Legacy media and it isn't even mentioned on right wing media.

It is hurting people across the board but as long as it isn't talked about in the general media it will keep the MAGA blissfully ignorant.
 
Hopefully with the holiday shopping season upon us it becomes a bigger topic of conversation in the media. They love doing those “What will Thanksgiving cost you this year vs past years,” as well as looking at Christmas items. Or, at least they do when a Democrat occupies the White House.
 
That just goes to the point of Democrats being absolutely fucking trash at governing. Because they won't hammer on those points as much as they should like Republicans would. And Dems haven't asked their billionaire buddies to buy media outlets to stop the complete takeover of the media buy the Right.

There's little you can do if the media refuses to cover it. You could hold a press conference every day, and it wouldn't matter unless the billionaire-controlled media covered it. Did you know, for Biden's first six months in office, he held Weekly Conversations, a regular address akin to FDR's Fireside Chats? I'm politically obsessed and I never even heard about it.

We saw the same with the first No Kings protest. Approximately 1.5% of the US population attended, but you wouldn't know it from the media coverage.

I had to laugh because it is such a ridiculous talking point the Republicans are trying to push. The idea of "No Kings" in America is now a "hate America" rally? Really? I guess the Republicans have won because their sheep will believe that bullshit even though they were taught in school how America was formed specifically against a king.

I kinda respect the whole 'putting the big picture above my frivolous hobby' in spite of the many, many disagreements I surely have with this guy over what the big picture ought to look like.

And I bet if someone pushed him back and asked him to give examples of other countries walking all over us he couldn't name a single one. They ALWAYS love to regurgitate talking points they hear in their echo chambers but never can go any further than that.

I was wracking my brain, trying to figure out who Big J is; obviously some rapper I've never heard of, and I felt pretty uncool.

And then it clicked, and I couldn't help but chuckle. Maybe I've shed more of my religious trauma than I thought. 😅
