I'd take him, but I honestly just want the humanoid version more than anything.Deluxe Bastion, too - cardback, please! I really hope the rumors about these two coming pan out.

I used to think it was a nod to Beastly, as you say, and specifically playing into the Beast of Gevaudan, which was described as dark furred during its reign of eating thingsI think with Beast it was to make him more 'monsterish', more Beast-ly. A black furred hulk of a creature would strike fear - a stark contrast from Hank's nerdy scientist personality.
With Nightcrawler, I do think it was to go with the name ... a black figure who can skulk in the dark of night.
Those are guesses of course. Maybe someone can ask Gerry Conway about the Beast decision if he makes a con appearance or something.
Oooooh I love a good BoG reference!the Beast of Gevaudan
You know when you hear a phrase and you know it's going to pop into your head forever after the first time you heard it? I will absolutely be thinking of a cleanly articulated figure as "buttery smooth" for the rest of my life. That sentence just locked into a permanent spot in my brain.I got Cable from Frogman Finds yesterday, and sweet sassy malassy he's great. Articulation is buttery smooth, sculpt and paint are great (love the headsculpt), and the weapons are both great. Very very happy with this one.
I just used a similar phrase - smooth and buttery - to describe Mondo RGB Peter Venkman in that thread! You know when you hear a phrase and you know it's going to pop into your head forever after the first time you heard it? I'll need an alternate phrase for bad articulation though. Crusty and bitter, maybe.I just used a similar phrase - smooth and buttery - to describe Mondo RGB Peter Venkman in that thread!
