I only found the line during the summer and was picking away at stuff, didn't have the long tail of investment, but I definitely was looking at expected release dates and thinking "so... all the waves are third-quarter 2025?" I played it cautiously (like I said, I bought ONE more figure than I'm happy about getting charged for at the same time, I'm fine) but I do know if they'd spread them out I probably would have another half-dozen figures from the various compatible lines preordered. I do feel bad for anyone who preordered a wave, then another wave, then a third wave, and then they all shipped at once. But also man, getting ANYTHING out of China right now... I back a lot of boardgame and TTRPG kickstarters and four or five are shipping at the same time and I swear it's that they all got on a ship at the right point in the tariff war. (But y'know, Kickstarter, money's way, way long gone, that's past Doc's problem, not present Doc's.)
I also am currently begging Hasbro to stop punishing my enthusiasm by releasing three months of figures early, but that's become a time honored tradition with Hasbro, those fall/winter preorders always are like "oh yeah? Fuck your Christmas budget, dude!"
Man I hate to say it but as much as I CANNOT STAND Four Horsemen getting a three-year interest free loan with their preorders, I legit just DNGAF when they decide to ship. Money's gone, man! Ship that dragon in 2032 or whatever, you already billed me. Although lately it's "fuck where do I PUT everything" with them. The money's gone on the dragon, Those regrets are in a different folder from "where do I put him."
