NFL Talk

The Bills D is also suffering right now because one of their best D linemen and their best linebacker are hurt. But they get a layup this weekend, so should get healthier before the games get tougher.

This is a great weekend for peosple who don't have NFL Ticket. 5 televised games on sunday and two on Monday night. Counting Thursday night thats half the teams in the league without the ticket

Well a win is a win, but man the Bills don't make it easy on the fans. Hard to say a terrible game when you win and score 31 points. However way too many penalties. Once again the defense was a sieve against the run. Once again Josh had to put the team on his back to win the game. The Bills are really missing Oliver and Milano on defense. I think the two of them would make the defense much better against the run.

And congrats to the Giants for the win against the Chargers.

Now for the Chiefs/Ravens. Any chance there could be some "SUPER SPECIAL DISPENSATION" and both teams record a loss today? Anyone? Bueller? Well in that case I'll take a Chiefs loss.

Happy that my Steelers won this morning in Dublin against the Vikes. Now it’s the exceedingly rare occasion where I’m rooting for the Chiefs to help us further.

Well the Ravens laid an egg and Lamar could be out. Hate that the Chiefs had their way with the Ravens because now we have to listen to a week of "The GOATS are back!!" A great performance by the Chiefs and Worthy definitely made a huge difference. It will be interesting to see how they do going forward because this week will be a never ending stream of how they are coming back and once they have Rashee Rice it will be the Chiefs of old. UGH!

Not sure I'm buying the Chiefs yet.

Real concerns about Green Bay after tonight's draw. You get beat by a bad Browns team and don't follow it up with a demolition? It's not like Dallas is any good. The Lions have already retaken first in the North.

Well to be fair it was Green Bay's defense that screwed the pooch. I mean Dallas can score, but they are not world beaters by any means and Green Bay did put up 40 pts. Only to get a tie? Defense was definitely the problem last night.

Might be time to get concerned about the Ravens. They need to get healthy on defense, but their offense was not good yesterday and at times it was flummoxed pretty bad by Detroit the week prior. Jackson's injury didn't look too serious and the game was getting out of hand when he went out, but never a good sign when a potential league MVP can't finish a game. Maybe a balky hammy will help him stay in the pocket more going forward and make better decisions. He's been getting sacked like crazy and it's because he's always trying to make a play and doesn't know when to give up on one. I also thought there was way too little of Dereck Henry in the first half. The guy was averaging around 8 yards per carry, but they still kept dropping back. Baltimore is the rare team that wishes it had the early week 5 bye.

Weird game last night. Definitely didn't have a 40-40 tie on the bingo card. Definite concerns about Green Bay and their readiness for the bright lights. Being crowned potential champs in August means nothing. Tonight's games conclude a weird September. Seems like there are a lot of risers and fallers each week and the league doesn't seem close to being settled. It also feel likes it's been a big injury month. I don't know if there's any data to back that up, or if it's just some prominent names have been taken down.

I was happy to see my Patriots blow away what I think is a bad Carolina team. I was expecting a sloppy game between the two, but the Patriots pretty much rolled and did so in all three phases of the game after another slow start. They need to work on being ready to go at the sound of the first whistle. As for their coming matchup in Buffalo, I just want to see a competent display. They're no where near ready for that kind of matchup, but if the Saints can hang around a bit then I'd like to see the Patriots do the same. At least if it's a bad one I can go to bed at halftime.

With Allen, Mahomes, and Burrow struggling, I think Allen is in a tier of his own right now.

They're the worst team in the league. Bad coaching, bad defense, bad QB, almost no stars across the entire roster.

I wouldn't put it past the Bills to put up another poor showing against the Patriots. They clearly have issues on defense and if the Patriots can run against them with even a bit of success they could do more than just hang around. However if the Bills can continue their strong offensive play then the Patriots are going to need another 30+ point game to compete. Guess we'll see which Bills team shows up on Sunday.

They might be when all is said and done. I think it's between Carolina, New Orleans, and Tennessee. The Giants could get there too, but right now it appears they at least got something of a lift from Dart and we'll have to see if that carries through. Sucks about Nabers though.

I think the best New England can hope for is to match the Bills score for score for a little while, but I don't think they have enough to sustain it. And if they start slow again they could be in catch-up mode for the rest of the night. New England doesn't have the personnel to contain Allen. Their linebackers and safeties stink. They'll need Milton and Barmore to dominate in the middle of the line to hang in there. They are divisional opponents though and know each other well, even with Vrabel being new to the Patriots this year. McDaniels has certainly seen a lot of that defense over the years. Hopefully they make it competitive.

I have yet to get up the nerve to watch my Vikings this year. I know we unloaded our last year's backup QB that did some pretty amazing things because our promising young rookie that immediately injured himself LAST year was fit and ready to go. Yes, sir, ready. To. Go..........back to being injured immediately THIS year. Yeah. Great. This is not the first time the Vikings have sent an effective QB packing in favor of a new guy that we can (supposedly) build around. This position has been a revolving door for decades.

Packers look like a paper tiger so far. Maybe Kenny Clark is missed by that defense. Giving up forty to Dallas after losing to Cleveland screams mediocre to me.
He's been getting sacked like crazy and it's because he's always trying to make a play and doesn't know when to give up on one.
Reminds me of watching Shedeur Sanders play. He is always trying to make a play and takes a lot of sacks. Of course Jackson is way more talented.

All hail the Panters :p

If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on the Panters
back to being injured immediately
JJ has looked pretty pedestrian when he's actually been on the field. Not a good thing when your best look has been holding a clipboard.

Nah man the Oilers are the worst team in the laegue for sure. Out there stranding their 1 overall pick in a talentless void. They made the Texans look competent this past Sunday and the Texans are not good. Tennessee is bad, bad. They wouldn't beat Atlanta 30-0.

Mine team is frustrating. Purdy clearly wasn't fully healthy and missed a number of throws badly. But if McCaffery doesn't try to make a play on that ball way over his head that doesn't get intercepted (it was still a bad throw). But also a blatant block in the back on the punt return touchdown that didn't get called and a very soft ticky tack pass interference call on a third down incompletion that then led to points... The Niners should have won that game even though they don't look particularly good. I don't have much hope about Thursday night.

Enjoyed watching my nephew tonight... Dolphins aren't good but Jets were worse. The Jets should be on that list of worst teams in the league as well.

Denver made the Bengals look silly bad tonight as well. Cincinnati is so Joe Burrow reliant - their defense is still bad but their offense is maybe just as bad. That offensive line looked totally lost.

The Jets have definitely entered the conversation. I'm surprised their defense has been so bad. The Dolphins are terrible on D too, but they at least have an offense that is a threat to go off in most games, though now they'll have to do so without Tyreek Hill. Speaking of, when a known abuser like Hill suffers an injury during a game:
