G.I. Joe Classified Series

I'm starting to think my favorite combo would be: old Flint head, neck, and legs, with new flint torso, arms, webgear, and boots. I might have to try and see if the legs swap easily, if so I'd probably pick up Retro Flint. Otherwise first release is still great.
 
Got the new Major Bludd today and just opened him. I don't think he's a huge jump from the first version other than actually being easy to find, but the red REALLY pops on him, and unlike the old version this one isn't a floppy loose mess.

Something that bugs me a little every time I see him - he's got the right cyborg arm and the left cyborg eye, and I want to think of him as having some kind of crazy targeting software in his cyborg parts (maybe installed by MARS?) sub tit feels like his eye and arm should be on the same side/axis. Tiny logic-level nitpick, the figure is fantastic. (Though those missiles went right into a baggie so I don't lose them.
 
I have not been able to put his backpack on. Not a big deal, put it all away anyway and have him a rifle to brandish but still. I like plugging things into things.
 
Monkey Wrench and Retro Flint dropped off today.

Monkey Wrench is awesome. Just a great looking figure

But Flint... he just makes me so happy. Back in the 80s Flint was my favorite Joe bar none. He was always the leader of every mission, he was the bad ass that even Snake Eyes did what he said. Duke never did it for me and the Generals were irrelevant... It was Flint all the way. And this figure takes me back to the day 40 years ago that I picked him up at Woolworths. Stalker was cool, Snake Eyes was mysterious but Flint got the job done. I love this figure.

I think retro Flint's handsome face could also work for Lt. Vincent Falcone. Always looking for alternatives for that guy.

I used ML The Hood head for Falcone and like it a lot. Nice to have a screaming Joe. I had only bought Hood for the BAF part.
 
The edging of Flint continues - just got one of those "your package is delayed would you like a refund" message with the package in transit. Do I assume someone ran over it with a truck and just f*ckin' order a new one? I don't care when it gets here, I just don't want to play the "is it delayed, or did it fall off the back of a truck, just be honest" game.

I found the newest Snake Eyes at GameStop while at lunch. I'll open him whenever.
