General Marvel Legends

Excited for Rachel, Champion/Starfox. Will probably get the Gladiator/Deathbird 2 pack even though I’d have preferred the classic Deathbird look. Will be skipping everything else, but I will say the Feral, Beast and Punisher/Fury figures are all really well done. Happy for those of you that have been waiting for Feral.

Is this the right thread for the new reveals?

Gladiator and Deathbird look fantastic! I love Gladiator, and this updated version looks like an excellent upgrade. Love the proportions and the new head with laser eye effects. Deathbird looks stunning. Great armored suit and a ton of personality in that head sculpt. Happy that I got Lilandra earlier. Bring on more Imperial Guard! I’d love to get Warstar.

Starfox and a Champion is an amazing set and is a must-have. Great characters.

Not sure about that Punisher and Nick Fury set. I’m not familiar with the reference.

Liking that Black Widow to go on the Miller DD shelf. Rachel and Feral are much appreciated additions.

Guess I need Starfox for the 80's Avengers - don't really want Champion though so that's annoying.

Liking Iceman, who they rarely have done well.

Had convinced myself that maybe we'd get human Beast, so while a nice version of that Beast, I am limiting my X-Men to the initial Claremont years. So Deathbird will be picked up as well (along with Storm and probably Mystique), wish they had packed someone else with her instead of another Gladiator.

What was the source of the Slyde leak? I don't remember him from anyone credible, but the bag is certainly a good match to the art.
I just did a quick Google and I can't find who the source is. According to Beamish's thread this was the same grouping that had Princess Python and some Spider-Man variants. It also included Hypno Hustler originally, but he has since shown up on another list.
Damn you're good!
This is actually thanks to your rumored list - I figured I'd do some Googlin' and see if any character art was a match. Lucky for me Slyde was towards the top!

Well I think the art you found is as good of a guess as I've seen so far. We all know Hasbro loves to pull one of the top results from Google when they need references for figures.

The Sega Genesis Punisher game. It was kind of a Streets of Rage-style beat 'em up where you side-scroll through levels punching bad guys and picking up weapons like bats or guns, which you lose when they run out of ammo or take too much damage. The money case is a pick-up in the game for extra points. Great game.

The source was the infamous "leak" list from early August 2024 that appeared on a Facebook page I follow. The leak wasn't from any of the usual sources, like Displaying Model Behavior or MarvelousNews. I posted the info on Fwoosh, along with the picture of the list. Soon after, the picture vanished, maybe the link expired - I don't know. I've tried to find it again but I can't.

The list included Slyde, Princess Python, Hypno-Hustler, Arachno-Man, Spider-Boy and Spider-Man Unlimited. Spider-Boy and Unlimited had just been teased at SDCC 2024. Fox X-Men were also on that list, and some of them are still in play because they keep showing up on other lists.

We all dispelled Slyde, Princess Python and Hypno-Hustler as incorrect info, or that the list itself was garbage.
However, Hypno-Hustler showed up again on a rumor/leak list for a 2026 Spider-Man Retro Card release from Displaying Model Behavior on 4-9-25. So he's still in play.
Now Slyde might be back in play. The teased bag looks like it was lifted right out of the picture of Slyde that hmmberto posted.

So, as logic might follow, if Hypno-Hustler and Slyde are actually correct leaks, maybe Princess Python and Arachno-Man are as well.

Okay, that list was BS. It had a few legit things on it, as you mentioned Spider-Boy and Unlimited were recently teased, so they used them to lend credibility to their "list." The fact that we ARE getting Hypno-Hustler doesn't change that. That's a broken clock type scenario.

Fox X-Men were also on that list, and some of them are still in play because they keep showing up on other lists.
I'm going to harp specifically on this again. There are no Fox X-Men figures. The figures that we will get from the Fox Universe are not the same. They were not delayed and moved into a Doomsday wave.. Those Fox X-Men figures are not the same as these Avengers Doomsday figures.

But I've got to confess a huge pet peeve I have: I really dislike when there's no neutral expression in a figure. And Hasbro usually has that habit with female figures (I'm looking at the most recent Jean Grey). Deathbird's grin is VERY her, but I'd love to have her with a serious/neutral face as well.

This is also my major complaint with the figure. I LOVE the Mandarain Psylocke's evil grinning head, but I actually don't use it that much because it's so extreme. Having a more realistic expression is a big thing, and it's the only major weakness I've seen in a figure that looks to be one of their best recent releases.

I was wondering if those bars say "Doom" at the bottom, but it's so fuzzy I can't make it out.
I think it says 1000g.

Gladiator is a nice upgrade, but I'm most excited to get him so I can throw the old Gladiator's cape on Daimon Hellstrom. Gets Daimon just a little closer to his classic look.

Slyde would be amazing. Love that character design. I read all about him in the Marvel Handbook back in the day.
