Ryan Ting Laid Off By Hasbro

I wonder with this latest round of firings if Emily will get even more dumped on her plate? It seems like she is the lead marketing person now for most action figure brands at Hasbro. Well at least she seems to be the guiding hand behind Ghostbusters, Power Rangers (when they still produced figures), GI Joe and who knows with ML.

I also wonder if T-Mac on Joe is still with Hasbro. I know he went on paternity leave, but you guys in the US don't get a lot of time for that if I remember corretly. If he is gone as well it could be that Hasbro has decided they can get by with a small number of marketers.

Good luck, Ryan. It seems like a portion of your job was apologizing and smoothing over and being a human shield for decisions that you did not make or even necessarily agreed with. You sat through a few difficult live streams that most(almost all) companies would have noped out of, and there really was no PR person that could have convincingly explained why Hulk was “Maximum” and Juggernaut was not.

As contentious and prickly as the community can be, all but only a few haters really valued your participation in the game. At the end of the day, I hope you wind up in a more stable, lucrative place. If you’re not under an NDA, which you probably are, you should totally unload on Wade’s Friday stream. Revenge of the Ting!
