I've been thinking about this, too. The only thing I can come up with is that they want them to fit in with their 1/6 stuff. As a 1/12 collector, I'd like Adventure Time Finn to be 5 or 5.5" and Jake 4 or 4.5". The Adventure Time stuff is double that height.

I'd be shocked if we saw these at Toy Fair. I think it's SDCC at the earliest.

They add lateral and forward range. I'm never sure if they're worth it. They can really fuck with a figure's stability.

The more I think about this, the more sense it makes. It's the perfect Batman to kick off Mattel's line. It'd draw in new readers, and the design is classic enough to get oldheads to bite. It just needs a modern articulation scheme. It shouldn't be too much to ask for butterfly joints, double...
