I'm curious because I just noticed that there are DST items marked 'Pre-Order Sold Out' or 'Pre-Sold Out' while other DST items are still available to pre-order. Well DST did go bankrupt. Maybe their figures were priced too low. I agree, though, the cost benefit for ML seems too high. The amount of reuse and quantities sold suggests much of the price is going somewhere other than production.

How much does slow releases hurt sales for a line? I haven't been collecting long enough to have a good sense of how important maintaining momentum is for maintaining sales. I assume there is a sweet spot for release timing where collectors aren't overwhelmed but also don't lose interest. It...

Do you know when the next Target event is supposed to be? At SDCC, I thought NECA implied Big Bird (I think he's next) was supposed to go up for pre-order soon. I certainly hope it's soon and maybe more than 1 figure get solicited at that time.

I was debating getting it, but the $50 price tag pretty much made the choice for me. I was hoping they would make a Santa figure eventually, but I am skeptical sales at $50 will warrant Jada making additional figures for this Christmas special.
