G.I. Joe Classified Series

When you compare Mindbender to Rock ‘n Roll, it’s like they were from two completely different toy lines. Imagine if the O12 encountered Dr Mindbender. It seems so mismatched. Is this what it’s like in the future? Going into battle topless? There’s only a difference of like 4-5 years between their waves, right?

Literally, Mindbender came out in the same wave as Leatherneck. Fucking WILD times, I tell ya'. Nothing was even trying to make sense and I love it.

I knew next to nothing about wrestling when Sgt Slaughter was part of GI Joe, well it's still the case. My cousin was a massive wrestling fan... Still the case..but anyway, at the time, I had just assumed Mindbender was a real world wrestling villain Cobra took on, likely some antagonist for Slaughter.

Having seen several youtube reviews and Instagram shots, it seems like the face on Rock and Roll rock is really dependent on the figure. I thought Kyle Peterson's review had a much more subtle and pretty well done version.

I remember a similar thing with that Target exclusive Marvel Rogue. She had cheek blush but I found it very heavy in the promo shots and the one I was able to get a hold of in Canada. It bothered me so much. I sold it. And then a friend found a different one and gifted it to me and she had very little blush but to me it was the perfect amount.

So check your Rock and Rolls. I would like the darker shirt but I prefer everything else about the original release.

Did anyone ever find a way to hang the parachutes from your ceiling or shelf and have them spread out like a parachute actually would? We were talking about it on the Fwoosh but I think it was before the halo jumper actually came out. I was thinking something like a plastic bowl inside of it to make the shape but all the ones I find are of course flat on the bottom so they don't roll around and for this I think you need something that is a half circle.

You may have better luck at an arts and crafts store. They tend to have things like clear spheres that separate in the middle. I’m not sure what you have in your area, but some of the chains I have are: Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, JoAnne etc,

That is a great idea. I've been looking at dollar stores and Walmart but haven't checked Hobby Lobby. I have seen exactly what you are talking about there in the past and it slipped my mind until you mentioned it.

Mine haven’t bumped, but check out the landing page for retro Vipers on Amazon:

I was getting the regrets not having a Viper order and placed one this morning. It says order received. At least he's not currently $31.99 like Rock & Roll.

If you can't find the correct size to work with plastic - try styrofoam balls -- the kind kids use to make their solar system science project out of. Cut the ball in half and shove the half-sphere into the parachute. I did that a long tine ago with something. I think it was those not-G.I. Joes that were produced by that company that did all the really nice 1:18 military vehicles? Unimax maybe?
