I just saw this article saying the same. I'm shocked and sad. Good luck to all the affected employees!

This sucks. I feel terrible for all the employees affected and wish them luck in finding new employment. I assume this means no new DST products are coming out.

What's the business value for Ad Populum to pay millions of dollars to purchase Diamond Comic Distributors and DST only to immediately shut both down? What are the parts they're trying to salvage?

I ordered the Yip Yip Martians from the ReAction line and they arrived today. My sense is these scale very well with the NECA/Palisades lines based on putting them next to the Palisades figs (Bert and Ernie finally arrive from BBTS this week) - I think for the ReAction line they are too large. The actual Muppets were not much more than socks, so these guys having hinged jaws and a stand to levitate is just about perfect - if you are getting the NECA Sesame Street line I recommend them.

Thanks for the idea. I ordered them after reading your post and they arrived today from Amazon. They do fit in really well. I like the action feature but I wish the mouths could just stay closed too. They are pretty detailed in sculpt for figures in this style. Love how this Sesame Street display is growing. I just added Koozebane reporter Kermit to the display too.
 
I plan to add Koozebane reporter Kermit to the Sesame Street display as well as I assume he is off the table for NECA, and will keep regular Kermit with the Palisades Muppets...

The Martians are a pretty deep cut but their first appearance talking to the phone is a classic.

I got mine yesterday and I was very pleasantly surprised. He is so expressive and so much fun to play around with. Also big! It felt like a good value for the price point and that isn't something I say too often these days.
 
I'm debating getting sprocket. Is the quality better? I heard about some fragility issues with the first wave which put me off buying them

Yes I'm happy to report that at least in my case quality was much better the second time. I'm still gun-shy articulating after my issues with wave one but nothing felt like it was going to break. One positive is that I opened them while they were all nice and hot from being in the UPS truck all day so that always helps. Sprocket feels really nice and not fragile at all.
