Harvinger Studios, Savage Crucible

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the in-stock bars on the store site. I've been keeping an eye on them while I try to figure out what to grab.

It seems they produced a good amount for this restock. Nothing has dropped below, I don't know, 3/4 of the in-stock bar throughout the day.

Definitely grabbing a deluxe stand set and Ko'Mo, who I've really regretted not picking up. Trying to convince myself I don't really need Varnoks — but he is a nice figure.

So I ordered Nashorn and the Abyss Dreadnaught almost three years ago. Was I supposed to get them by now?

Nashorn should definitely have shipped so you should check your Kickstarter and emails to see what went wrong, but the Dreadnaught is from wave 3 which hasn't released yet.

I wish they'd show us the Death Dealer's horse; I'm sitting on an unopened Loose Collector Death dealer and waiting to see if the Sav version is better.

Looks promising. I'd just like to see a review of ol DD himself first.

It's all subjective but LC's DD is more money than it's really worth. It might still be worth something to collectors because of the limited (and numbered) run, but as a toy I think there are better options.

That does look great! The paint apps on the LC version are astonishing. I'd really like to see a fully painted photo.

The LC is expensive, but I have hard time saying it's overpriced. It's definitely more than I'd like to pay, but overpriced is further than I'd go, especially at those production numbers.

Anyone know if Varnok's skintone matches any of the other wave 2 figures? I'm not exactly in love with the figure, especially for $60, but some of the parts could be useful. If memory serves me correctly, I think the Varnok matches the Warrior with Ball & Chain.

The Death Dealer horse is using the Fish Toys horse with new parts. So if you want to know how it'll end up, you can watch reviews for the Fish horses. I considered them for a while but never pulled the trigger. They ended up selling out. I know they're making at least one new colorway horse (tan). Maybe they'll make more new colors and/or reoffer the first versions.

Yeah, I'm relatively certain they said Varnok matches Ball-and-Chain.

I skipped out on Varnok. I hate the tats and while there some stuff in there I'd really like to have, and I could hide the tats with armor and use some of the other parts on other figures - there's too much in there that I don't want to be paying over 80 fucking US dollars for it. That's a stupid price for a bunch of repainted stuff.

Which means I also didn't get the dungeon. I think the 40-ish dollars is reasonable, but tack on shipping to Canada and it's just not worth it anymore, unfortunately.

I wrote an ENTIRE Spotlight about how great that figure is and it took you twenty minutes to decide to buy it? Does my good word mean NOTHING to you people?
If it's any solace, when I ordered my dungeon set, I agonized for a LONG time about whether or not to add Ball-and-Chain Warrior to my cart, based on your recommendation! I managed to resist, only because I decided that I really didn't want to have my lights cut off because I prioritized a near-naked plastic dude over paying my electric bill, but I did sit there debating whether I really NEED to have power or not.

I had the white-scaled lizardman in and out of my cart for months with BBTS and finally picked him up. Just cracked him open - the joints on these guys REALLY need heat, but once you get them moving they do have great ROM. But my main reason for posting about this figure specifically is he photographs terribly in all the promo images. The colors on his scales are effin' gorgeous. They managed to layer the white and golds in such a way that he's absolutely the most striking of the figures I have from this line so far. I suspect that spectacular paint job is why his joints are the worst I've encountered from Savage Crucible too, though - those bicep swivels are never moving, and his jaw won't open on his gator-ish/t-rexish head. I like that one the best but may swap on the frilled head instead since the jaw functions on that one.

I haven't been able to figure out what's up with their bicep swivel/elbow joints. It felt to me like one was impeding the other. The biceps would only move when the elbows were in a certain position.
