Tracking toy tariffs

Ah, dammit.

My package is from a warehouse in CA, so I'm hoping I dodged it.

Might be clear then.

Recently I've had things from China come to Toronto or Mississauga, and then repackage/relabel from here to my door across the city. And as far as that paper trail shows it was domestic. And my original tracking just goes cold somewhere along the line.

Of course this means I lose tracking until it shows up.

@altcunningham Down here, I get a second tracking number for the local carrier. I'm waiting on something from Giantoy. They send an email with tracking for the overseas carrier. If I copy/paste that number into 4px.com, I can see a second tracking number, in this case, USPS. Then I can copy/paste that number number into USPS.com.

I got my Hobby-Genki order today exactly 2 weeks after it got to their warehouse which seems reasonable. Once it actually shipped it only took a couple days via FedEx.

Don't worry though gas prices are down..........

Having recently gotten onto Mr. Global on Youtube I didn't know there was a sort of inverse relationship to oil (gas) and LNG prices. Apparently as oil (gas) prices drop, LNG goes up (for the most part). So all those people crowing about gas prices are missing the rise in LNG. Probably because gas is a more daily experience when it comes pricing and LNG is a monthly experience when you get your bill.

What also doesn't help is that for large parts of the US the amount of LNG used in a household is probably a good bit less than others and once winter is over people don't think about it as much.

Still a 60% increase can't be ignored no matter what people think.

And a lot of electricity is powered by natural gas, so even if you don't directly use it to heat your home you could still feel the impact. My electric bill is up about 30% from what it was a year ago and I actually consider myself lucky. Some have seen it spike by 100s of percents.

Finally got a shipping notification today from Amiami for my order that was paid on the 5th. Now we'll see how long ECMS takes.

I've only got two things currently on preorder with them coming in June and August. Maybe I'll get lucky and tariffs will be overturned by then... maybe.
