McFarlane DC Multiverse

Got notifications that both of my MTS orders have shipped (a label has been created). So I should be getting Flash, Ice, Rocket Red, Superman, Blackhawk, Cosmic Boy, Elongated Man, Prof. Pyg & Zatanna in week or so.

I'm in PA so these might show up in stores this weekend. I know some people have already found them in stores, but I'm sure that is mostly in the West heading East. Keeping an eye out for platinum figures.

i was fairly excited to order this page puncher wave, and made sure i was somewhere i could order the case from EE on my phone when it went on sale at noon.
i put it in my cart at noon, and was already logged in. but by the time i pulled out my wallet to enter the CVV from my credit card... it was SOLD OUT... it wasnt even 12:02 and it was no longer available
this is getting hard to be excited when the hurdles are so extreme

Gonna guess that we see some new reveals by the end of the month. Preorders are coming fast and furious so we’re down to only a small amount of officially announced product on the horizon. And some of them are chase figures. Including…

Jessica Cruz RPL
Jack Knight Starman RPL?
Black Condor RPL?
Gangbuster RPL
CE Black Canary
CE Joker
CE Vigilante
CE Freddie Marvel
Spartan Elite Edition (announced not shown)

Plenty of rumors still circulating.

Thanks to Preternia, I just ordered a bunch: McFarlane flight stands

Folks in the comments were saying they're sold out but I ordered about an hour after that at 2:35 p.m. EST and they were available.
I hope that you like them better than I do. I've never been a big fan - at least if they're the same one that they've packed in with DC Multiverse figures in the past. I've bought some that I really like on Amazon in bulk (packs of 20 or 25 I think) for under $1 per unit in the past when they go on sale. That's my preferred route for flight stands.

I do, they're not perfect but they work really well with larger figures for me. I also think they're a bit more sturdy than some of the others, too. My McFarlane series 1 Superman is still flying high all these years later.

Which stands are you talking about? I'm always on the lookout.

Amazon has a bunch that sell under different names and brands but are basically the exact same thing. The ones that I bought last are XISTEST but they're listed under a bunch of different names (LDXDRU, Takelablaze, Miganven, etc). I use them mostly for 6" stuff so you might not like them as much for 7". I've got several different listings saved under a watchlist and tend to buy them when they go on sale for a significant discount. Based upon my purchase history it looks like I've usually bought them in 20 or 24 packs for right around $1 per unit. You might want to buy a couple at a time at first to make sure that you like them before committing to a 20-pack.

I have a few of the McFarlane stands from previous figures, and while I still use them, every single one has started to kinda bend sideways from the weight of the figure. I've even switched a few out for lighter figures than the ones they were made for, and they still bend. Don't know if I've yet found a really good, sturdy stand

Oddly enough, a friend just asked me my thoughts on flight stands. I covered stands once upon a time on my blog, but it's been, oh, nearly twenty years since then, so a mild update is in order.

My favorite flight stands are the ones that come with Mezco One:12 figures. Big and sturdy and can hold heavy figures high up.

Second is probably Bandai stage act; they're not that strong and can't hold heavy figures, but they’re extremely versatile. I can use them to have a Transformers car slightly off the ground due to an explosion, or holding blood splatter effects in place.

Third are those McFarlane flight stands - they’re functional, but only if the joint isn’t too loose, which it is I'd say half the time. And they're really only good for "hovering" poses.

Fourth would be the NECA dynamic flight stands. They're relatively strong, but the part that attaches the clip to the stand is quite fragile, and the clip can’t really be positioned very well.

Last would be those Hasbro ones - too big and chunky and obtrusive. You can't suspend your disbelief when you're using them.

Have any of yours gotten really loose? Almost all of mine from those early waves are so loose they can't hold the figure up any more. Not the claw that holds the figure but the up/down hinge at the top.
