Star Wars Black Series

Just pre ordered the new figures. I got 1 each of Taun We and Watto, and then I got 3 Geonosian Warriors. This is such a great looking Wave. I love getting Prequel figures.
 
Grabbed Taun We and 2 Geonosians from YakFace's Amazon. Still waiting for him to put up Watto, but I'll snag him when he does. These next 2 waves are panning out to be pretty stellar! According to Amazon, these are due to ship early May, only a month after when the Quinlan wave is set to ship. Things could always change, of course, but we may be in for another glut of figs.

I feel like Watto is a character that only exists for completionists or folks who just really like his look as an alien. I dunno. Maybe there are huge Watto fans out there I'm unaware of. Maybe there's people clamoring for a Watto miniseries.

I honestly think the Quinlan Vos Wave could end up shipping late this month or early next month. because the figures are in the US. So, we may end up getting the Watto Wave March/April.

But Hasbro does seem to ship their Star Wars stuff out a month or two earlier than their ETA's. So, that tracks.

Of course, for that matter, I feel like ALL of Habro's estimated arrival dates are wrong for every line I collect from them. Be it Star Wars, GI Joe, or Marvel. If they give you a date it's expected by, expect sooner and right around the time 80 other things ship sooner with it.
 
Hasbro is also maneuvering around the movie merch this year - I think the on-shelf date for that is right around April 1st because the Mando S1 re-do hits Target 3/29. So the mainline is about to be subsumed with unannounced, secret products.

I forgot Boba has toe joints. Can't wait! Anyone else's Jango have uneven silver paint in the top section of his torso armor? Wondering if it's just mine.

That and we have pedos running things nowadays. So like, every Chester out there can just let their "freak flag" fly, as it were, and feel immune.

Those Boba Fett mods are easy. I may even do a bit of the paint damage but I unno, we'll see.

As someone who was in 4th grade when Phantom Menace came out, I've developed a special place for some aspects of that movie. Getting a new figure from that movie, particularly one as important as Watto, just takes me back to the merchandise hype train from that time. Makes me want Taco Bell.

That being said, just pre ordered Watto today. Don't think I need the other two. I'd probably take Poggle the Lesser, but can't see myself army building the Geonoshians.
