Mondo

There will probably a cheaper version following the limited edition window, but I don't know what's being dropped from this version. I'd normally assume the couch, but don't you kind of need that for a B&B display? I'm disappointed they don't have a mouth open, "Heh heh," portrait. I also like the idea of this set more than the reality. Those characters have a hard time going from 2D to 3D.

Aw, hell, Beavis and Butt-Head was my jam back in the 90's. I was waaay too young to be watching it, but I'm convinced it's responsible for at least a good chunk of my humor nowadays. I'm tempted to get at least one set to have the guys on the couch, but you can't not do Cornholio. But do I really wanna spend $300 (plus tariff charges) on Beavis and Butt-Head figures?
300??

It's 150, that I'm seeing!

Right; I meant in the case of getting 2- one for the neutral couch version and one to have Cornholio. But I didn't even think about there being a cheaper version alongside it. I feel like Cornholio definitely gets axed in that version and you just have the guys, the couch, and the rock out head and hands.

In my cleaning/downsizing recently, I came across my old Palisades Invader Zim toys, and man, do I wish we'd gotten more. I know DST was supposed to start making some, but, well, we know how that turned out. I feel like, out of any companies nowadays, Mondo would be the best to produce any new figures. They'd be pricey, for sure, but it's the only way I think we'd get even somewhat near the same amount of accessories as those old figures came with. If we're lucky, maybe even some characters they never got around to.

Ah, I see.

Well, it looks like you can do one set and just have Cornholio standing. The limited edition comes with the Cornoholio torso and a set of standing legs, and then just have the regular version sitting on the couch. So, you should really only have to spend the 150 for one set for those three figures.

Whoever makes those newer cheaper Simpsons toys seems like they'd be the best bet for Nickelodeon stuff both recent and older like Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, Doug, etc.

I wouldn't wish Mondo prices on anyone, but the Rocko's Modern Life figure pack at least shows their interest in the toon stuff no one else is doing at the moment.

Jakks Pacific is a good suggestion. Don't get me wrong, I could see them making some decent figures, but I feel like the folks who'd buy Invader Zim figures- or a lot of the older Nicktoons figures- is a somewhat niche market in 2026, so I don't necessarily see them selling too well in big box stores. I know Five Below often has little minifigures of new and old cartoons- Funko minis, Loungefly, CultureFly, etc., but those are more knick-knacky things priced as such. Despite what stepping into your local Hot Topic might suggest, Invader Zim figures probably wouldn't sell as well as a shirt or jewelry. So something more collector focused, produced in smaller batches, even if they are at an unfortunate price point, seems the way to go.

Rocko's, Aaah! Real Monsters, Over the Garden Wall, Daria, heck- even Adventure Time to a degree- are all properties that probably wouldn't do too well with their own dedicated lines, but focused on by a company like Mondo, they could actually sell. Heck, there's a whole laundry list of properties I think Mondo could knock out of the park- Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Wild Thornberries, Courage the Cowardly Dog (what I wouldn't give for Courage figures!), Codename: Kids Next Door. The list goes on and on.

Are Beavis and Butthead 1/12th scale, I can't see any confirmation. Not planning on buying but just assuming since they're $150 they must be?
No, they're a weird no-man's-land scale. They're 9" each.

The Adventure Time "figures" are the same. I still haven't opened my set because of the odd size. They'll take up an outsized space in my display and make everything else look puny.
Courage the Cowardly Dog
I'd absolutely buy Courage, even in Mondo's weird Squads format. If I could get him and Dexter & Dee Dee, my Adventure Time guys wouldn't look so out of place.

The Squads format is where I think Courage would work best, at least Courage himself. Do him, Muriel, and Eustace. Throw in Eustace's big spooky mask from the intro and whatever else and you've got a deal. The monsters are where I'd have a hard time deciding- Katz, Le Quack, King Ramses, the Bugle Monster, Fred- so many iconic ones.

I'd rather get Courage and Katz or Fred—Courage's Green Goblin and Doc Ock, IMO—than Muriel and Eustace, but I think you're right. We'd probably get the nuclear family first, then villains if the first set did well.

I really only need Courage. Give me him and his computer and I'd be set.

The website does say this, which makes it sound like the couch and TV may be the exclusives (and probably the seated legs): "Restricted to just 1,250 units, this special Limited Edition set comes complete with exclusive extras that don’t suck ... including the iconic couch and boobtube with swappable screens!"
