Star Wars Black Series

Starkiller looks awesome, and I am familiar with the character... but still skipping. That version was on my wishlist more or less since I started collecting Black Series, but I've really gotten the collection down lately, and my wishlist is down to 20, with four of those being different versions of Boba Fett and another eight being different Stormtroopers.

I don't get video game figures, so Starkiller is a pass. I do want to support aliens, as full as they may be, so I'll probably get the Kaminoan, the Geonosian, and Watto. But they are not among my most wanted alien characters.

Love these reveals! 4 all-new sculpts and 3 characters that will stand out and add good variety to the shelf. I don't know Starkiller outside of his name, but he's an absolute pick up and I'll watch vids of him on Youtube to familiarize myself with him. I will army build the Geonosian Warrior when they hit a sale price.

Somehow, that vintage set managed to produce a character I wasn't aware of. A wookiee with a crazy mustache...looks like Chewie leading a Foxy Shazam tribute band.

For those who don't know, but want to, Starkiller is Galen Marek, Vader's secret apprentice from the Force Unleashed games.

In the non-canon ending to the game, if you go to the dark side, you become a version similar to this new figure. There was an "Ultimate Sith Edition" of the game that was an alternate version of ANH and ESB with Starkiller hunting down the droids on Tatooine. He fights, and defeats, Jabba's Rancor, Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan, then Wampas. He defeats Luke and gets him to turn to the dark side, taking him on as an apprentice.

Thinking on it, I think I might put Starkiller on my shelf next to Katarn. They're both now-deleted EU video game dudes. I somewhat like the idea of head-cannoning some sort of rogue Sith apprentice that was dropped into an alien prison a decade ago coming out of the woodwork in the aftermath of the Imperial Remnant and Kyle's the bad dude who has to put him down.

I loved the reveals today. I love getting Prequel characters. And these weren't just Prequel characters. They are Prequel characters who had 3.75" figures during the Prequel movie lines. I will get all of these. Lord Starkiller too. They look great.

So, Garindan has now been revealed for TVC and the Retro collection. There is only one collection left folks. The Black Series Collection. Surely, we will see Garindan revealed this year or next for TBS with the 50th Anniversary of Star Wars coming in 2027.

I want that entire 4 pack they showed for TVC in Black Series. And I want Wuher, and Bo Shek, and really every son of a b*** who was in that Cantina in Black Series.

But the Long Snoot. Long have I waited. But I feel it. I sense it. Black Series Garindan is imminent

I still would prioritize BoShek, Ellors Madak, Muftak, and maybe Wuher, if I had a bar for him to stand behind. The first two I like a lot because they're wearing space suits. I feel like that's appropriate for the port that is Mos Eisley. Muftak would give some silhouette variety.
