Definitely for long running lines that have already had many releases related to a character such as is the case for Spidey. An honest assessment of what we have gotten for Spidey already shows it has covered almost all of his best known characters - so now we are picking between the lesser known and for that reason there is less consensus. If we went back to when the line started, I doubt any of these options for either Spidey poll would have even made the top-20 for desired Spidey related figures. Maybe Aunt May, barely. Maybe Madame Web. But I doubt it.Thats what makes a collector line so frustrating - the highly disparate array of opinion on what is important.
This is specifically a Spiderman Heroes and Allies poll, not villains and foes, not any character from the Spiderman universe.Thats what makes a collector line so frustrating - the highly disparate array of opinion on what is important.
The last thing I ever need in this line is another Mary Jane. I have plenty already, too many really. So the idea that another version of Mary Jane is the top of some wishlists instead of super fun super villains like Swarm and Stegron is baffling to me. But that is legitimately someone's most wanted, so its not less inportant than my desire for The Spot or Calypso or Carrion... and Hasbro can't please us both since our wants don't fit in a single venn diagram.

The choices and results would be very different if it were either of the latter.
This is my issue. And they're both so easy. For me, I don't feel like the definitive Aunt May or Mary Jane have been made in the line
