I've never done a poll before, but looks like ten is the limit with that. Admins, please let me know if that's incorrect. Have to do this the old fashioned, human mathy way, so here is the list of figures from last year, please make a post with your personal top ten in order from best to tenth best, and eventually one day I'll figure out what to do next. Polls close midnight, 1/22/26!

Actually kinda easier than I expected...

  1. Major Bludd
  2. Darklon
  3. Pythona
  4. Zandar
  5. Heavy Duty
  6. Slice
  7. Cobra C.L.A.W. Pilot
  8. Frag-Viper
  9. Night Force Beachhead
  10. Desert Scorpion & SKRP10N-25
I am surprised at how high Zandar got but I really liked that figure once I had him. Pythona, not sure if I'm subconsciously justifying the price but for a weird, sci-fi-ish kinda character, I really liked her. Frag Viper is creepy, Yes I love that Heavy Duty looks kinda like Terry Crews, Darklon is neat, Slice has a bunch of cool stuff, Major Bludd was super high on my wishlist even though he's a repaint, I think the CLAW Pilot is really cool, Beachhead surprised me, and the Desert Scorpion & friend are just so damned cool.

1. Monkeywrench
2. Crystal Ball
3. Cobra Commander with Combat Armor
4. Pythona
5. Budo
6. Baroness - Rattler
7. Wild Weasel - Rattler
8. Desert Scorpion & SKRP10N-25
9. Zandar
10. Ghost Viper

***Honorable mentions to the Polar Bear (which I don't really consider a figure) and the Cold Slither set. They deserve a spot on the list, but not sure they deserve FOUR spots.

1. Crystal Ball
2. Monkey Wrench
3. Zandar
4. An actual fucking Polar Bear ft Snake-Eyes
5. Budo
6. Heavy Duty
7. Darklon
8. Desert Scorpion
9. Crankcase
10. Law & Order

Special mentions- Ghost Viper, would have been my #1 if it hadn't been a 100% reuse trash figure that destroyed my childlike belief in magic.
Covergirl- Probably wouldn't have broken into the top ten, but too damned well done not to mention.

Holy hell, this line is so good I don't know if this is even possible. I have personal favorites vs. acually the best designed figures versus the surprises but....

1. Rattler Baroness
2. Pythona
3. Desert Scorpion and SKRP10N-25
4. Law & Order
5. Sci-Fi
6. Budo
7. Mercer
8. Crankcase
9. Crystal Ball
10. Rattler Wild Weasel

ANY of the Retro figures could have been on this list but I wanted to favor previously unmade characters (allowing Baroness because she's just that good). Legit if they only released any ten figures from this year I would have loved all ten figures. Hardest top ten list of the year.

It's funny, I didn't even notice you left the Retros off the list, I was preoccupied by narrowing down my top 48 to a top 10.

For me, the only change may be Mindbender. Like Bludd, I know he isn't new but someone I never thought I'd have until they put him out again and I am excited to own now.

Mindbender was a top figure for me but I had the SDCC one with a frozen hip, so the new one was fixing a problem that was pissing me off rather than being a BETTER figure. If we're talking figures I was thrashing to get my hands on, Flint, Cover Girl, and Mindbender all make the top ten but I actually LIKE their first versions so it was more me being selfish about new versions of favorites.

Some in my list will be from last year technically but Pulse here didn't ship them to me till this year. Anyway.

  1. Marine Sniper - she's just so cool, love her
  2. Dick Ball - as I said in my overall top 10, it's absurd how much of a glow up this clown got
  3. Retro Cover Girl - options are good, and she's just a lot of fun
  4. Darklon - another one of those "this guy was so lame" instances of Classified turning lead into gold
  5. Retro Flint - yeah, this is my guy
  6. Pythona - first time I've actually wanted a Cobra La figure, she's too awesome to resist
  7. Sgt Slaughter - came for Mercer, stayed for the Sarge
  8. Budo - would sir care for a modern soldier with a samurai theme? Or just a whole ass samurai? Good stuff
  9. Footloose - always had a soft spot for this guy, he's got that quintessential 70s/80s army dude thing going on
  10. Desert Scorpion - after my time but cool enough to get my fully onboard
Honourable mentions to the Night Force Tunnel Rat I cobbled together from Ali Express parts, Retro Breaker, and a Crimson Baroness I nabbed on the cheap.

Biggest disappointment: Battle Armour CoCo - the plastic looked bobbins and the colours were dull. Wake me up if they do a retro version with a Fred head.

The head was off, too. The iguana was the best thing in the package. I ended up returning mine to Amazon. Blowtorch was the only other disappointment for me this year. Looks great, but I just can't ever seem to get him to pose right and the mask is always at an angle.

Looking at the list of releases, I could make an argument for more than 20 of them to be top 10. And I never would have thought that Monkeywrench, Crystal Ball and Dr. Mindbender would be among my favorite releases. That's impressive work.
