PLAYMATES Mutant Mayhem/Tales of the TMNT/etc.

Honestly, if NECA could get their shit together and get a set of standard Archie turtles out, and if I can grab the Mikey and Donnie from the Mety Toys turtles line, I think I could be good.

I have just about every version of the 4 brothers I think I could want at this point. The only lingering figure from one set that started is the "Raph" from the unlicensed line with 'Winter', 'Spring' and 'Summer', and the "Splinter" with the hat.

I would like Tempestra in addition to just the main Archie characters (Turtles, Mutanimals Leatherhead, maybe April) and I’d feel pretty set. We’ll see what happens, but it seems doable since the turtle bodies are sculpted and I’m assuming they’ve just been waiting to announce Tempestra for awhile. Regardless of what I personally want, it would still be better for everyone if they can just keep the license for as long as they want.
 
Target actually shipped my Chrome Alone 2 Chome Dome. Excited about that, but Target canceled the orders for the Turtles themselves. I hope they become widely available soon, because I'm not paying $200 for a set on eBay.
 
I had preordered the KO Tortoise sets, but canceled because I don't want the winter Turtles. I saw them all in person during the holiday shopping season and they look expectedly hilarious in person. But again, I don't want to buy 2pks to get those KOs, I just want the KOs.
 
The 2pks dried up by me. I would have waited for a sale, but they're gone. I'm actually not waiting for a sale, but for single releases.
 
I haven't seen any aside from the two I bought. I'm hoping there are more coming as I really don't want to have to pay the scalper prices to complete the set.

I'm afraid that since the theme of the sets is seasonal, it might not make another run. These seem like a once they're gone, they're gone situation. So I'm continuing to hope for single releases of the Tortoises.

I'm not expecting another production run either, especially in light of the new that they lost the license, more hoping that Target hasn't yet cleared out the inventory. It definitely was delayed, and the roll out a shit show with seemingly most of the online orders getting cancelled. I have a feeling that if I really want Leo and Donnie that I'll probably have to go the ebay route.
 
Typically Target exclusives end up clogging up endcaps on clearance. Kinda anticipating these just showing up en masse one day. Or even popping up at Ross in 6 months.
 
Yeah, that's my worry. I think it'll be a situation like the Marvel Legends Tracksuit Mafia figures from like 2022 or so. Target canceled all the online orders and barely a trickle showed up in any stores. Then like two years later, they were available at like BBTS and straight to clearance at Target. I just checked and they're still available for retail on BBTS.
