Spider-Man Retro 2026 Wave with Cardiac, Owl & Hypno Hustler

The brown coat is from NWH Ock. I don't have my figures near me to see if more of the body is also Ock.

This wave (minus Spider-Venom) were just delivered from Pulse. They look great.

I didn’t realize Nighcralwer comes with a purple cloud of smoke. It’s the same sculpt as the small explosion making its rounds in sets with the Punisher. First Bamf effect to my knowledge. They extended a stripe from the top of his boot detail down between his toes and it looks cheap because they just painted over the sculpt.

Hypno-Hustler is hilarious, and might wind up my favorite. He has pinless limbs that I might transfer onto a Karnak custom. He has a tiny mic that came with Disco Dazzler, but no grip hand to hold it. Just the guitar chord left and pick strumming right, and fists.

Cardiac is cool but I still don’t love that nose.

Owl looks fine, but I pictured him more stocky, not as tall. Wish his pet owl’s head swiveled. It’s just a solid slug figure. He has sleeve cuff details sculpted to his fists, but the claws fall out too easily. He has the Mandarin claw hands as well.

2099 looks perfect.

Amazon is being weird about this wave, all of which I preordered. I received HH, but although some are scheduled to arrive today, they haven't shipped. Nightcrawler has been indefinitely delayed, and I just had to approve the delay on Cardiac, proclaiming "YES I still want this item". I think Owl shipped but won't get here til Sunday. All weird.

Hypno Hustler is fun, but not as fun as I was hoping. He's a ridiculous design, which I enjoy. The head sculpt is awesome, the guitar is reuse of that weird Stratocaster/Epiphone hybrid. The flaw is these moon boots he wears. They kill any ankle mobility, and that's necessary for some deep guitar lunges and straddles. He can't do that, so that kills a lot of enjoyment. The legs allow for sadly static poses.

I ordered them from Pulse like a week ago and there has been 0 movement even though it said in stock when I bought them.

For some reason Cardiac trailing a full month behind the rest of the wave from Amazon is odd to me. I have all the other figures but Cardiac won't be delivered until January 21st. Luckily I found the wave - except for Spidey 2099 - arlt Walmart already or I'd be chuffed.

I’ve just got the Skurge wave recently so would like if this one doesn’t hit my local stores until closer to February, however I don’t need to get all of the characters and might even see if one or two pegwarm before biting - I’m looking at you, Owl. I was more enthused about him until I found out he was reused Doc Ock, somehow knowing those big unsightly holes are under his jacket makes me less keen on paying for a full figure. If he’d just been a bonus head packed in with somebody else that I could stick on a random suit kitbash he’d seem better value.

Spider-Man 2099 seems the most desirable, I’ve never had one of him and passed on the animated movie versions as the articulation sucked, but I’m wondering if anybody knows if the unmasked Miguel head looks good on this new Retrocard body?

It just finally dawned on me that four “distinct” Spider-Man 2099 figures were either released this year or teased. We saw the Mafex version arrive in April, then CT Toys/ Mess Toys released their knockoff of the Mafex and teased an upcoming 2099 on the revoltech body earlier this summer. And lastly we have the legends release. And there may be more because I never really kept track of the Across the Spider-Verse releases from Hot Toys, Mafex or SHF.

That’s a lot of Miguel

My discounted EE order showed up, including HH, Owl, Spider-Venom, and 2099. I opened the latter two.

Didn’t realize SV is on the Amazing Fantasy body. Seems like this is a trend, as we’ve gotten several Spideys now on this body of varying popularity and obscurity. Symbiote, Hellfire, Ai Apaec, SV. I’ve already removed the symbiote goo from the “Peter” likeness to use as Miguel, which I like so much more. I don’t know what this costume is, so he will go in the Spiderverse bin of alternate costumes.

2099 is great. His neck seems less gappy than previous uses of this body (RYV). The claw hands will stay on. And he looks good with that aforementioned unmasked head. This is a solid and welcome update.

Got Cardiac & Hypno Hustler this afternoon. First impression: to my eye, Cardiac is a darker blue than is represented in the official images but, damn if he isn't one sexy emmer effer.
He is the perfect example of a character with which I am absolutely not familiar, but is so well-designed and also so well-rendered that I'm more than happy to add him to the collection. And I must say, he does not disappoint ...nose be damned.
All his cardiac pulse-blips are hella sharp and I love the pearlescent paint; he has a menacing face sculpt, and his staff is sexy. He is totally full of win.

Hypno Hustler is also amazing but, as @NORM pointed out, his ankle articulation is wackadoo-doo. I'm already working to rectify those shortcomings though.
Still, bravo Hasbro for the deep dive. He is delightfully whimsical and funky disco-riffic and a satisfying endcap to a truly exceptional year of Marvel Legends!

I’m looking at you, Owl. If he’d just been a bonus head packed in with somebody else that I could stick on a random suit kitbash he’d seem better value.

Nah.. then we wouldn't finally have the trenchcoat parts we need for classic Mastermind.

If they had used a normal shirted torso on the figure MM could be just a head swap away.

A dude who calls himself "The Owl" and runs around with owls would absolutely have holes in his clothes. If that helps. :)

Yeah, I just checked my order on Amazon. The shipping dates were updated from last night when I checked. Owl, Hypno Hustler and SV is now this Saturday. Tuesday is Uncanny and Cardiac and 2099 is Jan 7.
