Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies and Streaming Series Discussion

I agree with some of the commentary already made. I'm interesred to see if there is an extended cut released when a blu-ray is announced. (yes I'm old and still buy physical media... books, comic books, CD's and Blu-Ray)
I'm with you. I have every Marvel movie since the 1998 Blade on Blu-Ray.

Except ... one.

In 2005 Lionsgate produced a very low budget Man-Thing movie. It was never released theatrically here in the States. It went straight to the Sci-Fi channel in April of 2005. To this day, I have never seen it so I couldn't tell you anything about the quality. I hear different things from fans. Some say that the studio held a test screening before the movie was released and half the audience got up and walked out. Other people say it's not bad. And yet others say that, considering the budget, it's actually pretty decent.

I would like to see it. It's readily available on DVD but I cannot find a Blu Ray copy anywhere. And since the rest of my Marvel collection is Blu Ray, I would like this movie in that format as well. Listen, we're collectors. We're picky as hell. It's just the way we're wired.

So if any of you are out in the wild and you happen to see the 2005 Man Thing on Blu Ray, let me know. If you can pick it up, I will gladly pay for the disc and your time and trouble.

And while we're on the subject of physical media, Captain America Brave New World comes out on Blu Ray tomorrow. Can't wait to add it to the collection.

I don't have anything against legacy characters in general. Sometimes they land really well like Jaime Reyes or Jason Rusch, but most of the time you just get "the other Iron Man."

As far as the MCU goes, though, I'm already anxious for them to move on from the Avengers, and adding these knock-off characters just stretches it out.

I never read Ironheart in the comics, so maybe she's a beloved character, but I was very unimpressed by her appearance in Black Panther 2. Hopefully her solo story goes into greater detail about how and why she made her armor, because as it stands she shortcuts wildly the journey Stark took to get his armor. It feels unearned.

Yeah, I enjoyed the character in the movie but wasn't super hot on spending a ton of time with him, but I'll definitely give it a shot. I also have Prime, so why not indeed.

Looks pretty good. I don't think I've ever not been entertained by a Nicolas Cage project, even if the movie itself isn't the best. I liked that they didn't play him quite as seriously in Spiderverse, but it looks like that may change here, which is a bit of a bummer.

Apparently it'll be released in both black and white and color, the latter of which I feel like defeats the purpose. B&W is clearly how it's supposed to be.

That would be such a random character to suddenly appear in Doomsday.
So apparently it WAS for a voice role, but one leaker person who may be 100% right 50% of the time for all I know, is positive the character is in Doomsday.

And to your point, that is true, but I took it more as the first of multiple unexpected/unknown new characters to appear.

Yeah, Beau DeMayo said he cast her as Polaris for season 2 of X-Men 97, which I'd still be here for. I like Neve, and glad she's getting more work outside Scream.

I guess I'd be here for a live-action take too. She's a little older than what the MCU goes for, but considering she'd be playing Ian McKellan's daughter, and the X-Men are a bit older in this timeline anyway, it's not that big a leap.

Also in DDBAS2 casting news

Apparently Lili Taylor revealed she is playing the governor during an interview.
