McFarlane DC Multiverse

Looking at preorders and reveals this week knowing that Mattel is going back to DCUC scale and the realization that I'm running out of space is making me think I might be done with McDC. I went from not getting the line at all to pre-ordering most of it to just buying things when I happened to find them to kind of wanting to get rid of them all. What a ride.
 
I'd likely buy all of these Founders Elite Editions if they were under $40. For $60, I'm out. Evidently there were still takers though because it seems to have sold out many places. I'll only consider them if they ever get sharply reduced but I'm not going to pay more than $40 for any of them.

I had the exact same thought on Joker :ROFLMAO: I was thinking "if Cavill's Superman was this close, I'd have bought several of them" lol That's funny.

For Zatanna, yeah...I don't think I expected Todd to do real fishnets, but I was at least hoping for something sculpted, similar to the sculpted laces on the Superwoman figure he did. It's been a while since I looked at her, but I remember she had sandals or boots with laces that went up her leg and they were individually sculpted and painted. The painted-on fishnets for Zatanna are a touch cheap, it would appear. I suppose we should expect the same thing for Black Canary.
 
Took me a bit of time to get him and open him, but cracked Dr. Midnite tonight. A super basic buck, but I think I like the less fiddly McFarlen bucks best? I thought he was pretty fun to pose. BUT of course, with every McFarlane figure there's always something weird, like why is there nothing to hold the owl on him anywhere? Why no wires in the cape this time? Just always something odd with them. But overall, I'm glad we got him in this line before the end, he's pretty solid.
 
I'm going through my collection looking at what I want to keep since I have BINS of these figures just stored away, and I'm leaning towards a Batman related, Flash related, Superman related, and small GL/JLA collection.
That doesn't mean EVERY figure from those areas, as I've already got 1 Hush Batman and the TDKR wave put off to the side for selling, along with the jeans Superboy with the alt bald head, among others thus far.

I wanted Wally, but I was out when he went up and wasn't able to nab a preorder. I do have him saved at Amazon and Walmart, o maybe I'll get lucky later.
 
The DK Joker, Bane and 78 Superman just look like straight reissues with some extras? Superman looks like he may have the "too-cheap-for-the-wire-in-the-cape-this-time-around" issue but I may be wrong. I bet that extra card is going to send them to $40 each at least.
 
Not sure what the source is here (Toy Wanderer? no idea), so grain of salt & all that. But I saw these on a FB page...I think most of them we've already heard about or seen rumors of, but I thought it was worth sharing in case I'm wrong and there was something new in here:

I'm most excited for Gagbuster and the "Gettin it On" edition! Those sound extra spicy.

Interesting. Some of these are pretty longstanding rumors. Others I’ve never heard. And I make it a point to keep dialed in on comic book DCM rumors at the very least. Some of these were even part of an April Fools document from a few years back. Green Arrow/Black Canary pop out from that list. Some will surprise me if they end up as true. I was under the impression that Starfire and Raven’s original costumes were a little too risqué for retail. Could be a fun exit for Todd.

Ah, I didn't know about that. It would make sense, given there wasn't a source provided for this stuff. The post only said "new rumors and leaks have appeared", but didn't say where they appeared. If nothing else, it's a fun little wishlist.
