Yeah I am planning on a Gamestop purchase of this guy. Unless my coffee is great Thursday and I am super happy (I may be) I will probably not pre-order. The paint I love on KS is the spray shading on the red parts, which is beautiful. Totally agree though the head, spiky wood piece, and general look are more what we expected. Hope to see Medieval Spawn, Violator and Overtkill.

Unfortunately the more I look at this guy the more excited I am. I thought I was done with McFarlane and then damnit he makes a line I was dying for 15 years ago. So much stuff.....btw as a general rule, all forums and all lines, a cool new figure of a popular character is never a bad thing, even if you have one already. Another, more expensive version of this guy later in 2026 with my big boot and less red could make me annoyed however.

Yeah, I'm more sold on the figure every day, goddamn me.

Also, I hear you about the paint. In fairness, after your post, I went downstairs and actually looked at him again. I've had that figure at the top of a bookshelf since I got him, so even though I 'see' him every day, I don't take a lot of time to really look. I think I forgot how much paint detail there actually is in there. It really is a beautiful figure even if every time I take it down to repose it, I immediately regret my decision.

The mismatched chains is a real turn-off. They couldn't figure out how to do real chains on the cape?

Almost missed this, my wife had to remind me.

$60 is a hard pill to swallow.
 
God, I still hate real metal on my action figures. I hate it the way some people hate softgoods.

I did not pre-order this. Largely because I forgot that was happening, but also because I'm trying to slow down on pre-orders and also it's a lot of them there Canadian dollars.
 
I'd settle for Ninjago-style plastic chains, but keep 'em consistent through the figure. Static rubber chains have got to be on my "toy pet peeves" top 5.
 
Totally forgot about this today and initially missed FuzzyBlueDemon's text about it, so missed BBTS and Amazon, but got an order in on GameStop which has a $59 free shipping threshold, so just barely made it.
 
$60 is about double what I'd be willing pay for this. I'd love to buy all of these Founders Edition figures, but it's not going to happen at that price point. I could even see going as high as $40, but no way I'm paying $60.
 
I got my copy. I’ve been waiting for a spawn like this for a while now. I’m probably one of the many people here who have never read a single issue of spawn much past issue 100 so to see McFarlane toys really go back to the well and deliver a truly classic spawn with a wired cloth cape and interchangeable chains is a nice touch. Also looks way better than the Kickstarter version
