You Ever Get Tired of This?

This is exactly the same for me. Every once in a great while, I'll list something with a "if it doesn't sell, I'll keep it, but I need to get this much to part with it" price, but 99% of the time I research to see what the cheapest listing it then list for lower.
I can't even rely on eBay anymore. Or maybe I'm screwing myself. I was pricing some things just last night and it's telling me that the 20th anniversary Captain has gone loose for 60 to 80 Canadian, as example.

I've also seen the Doom Elite from McFarlane go for over $150 cuz apparently Canada got short-changed. I have one so I must have missed all that.

But maybe I'm just letting my own price limits blind me.

My son wanted that one for his little video game character shelf and I never saw one until they were popping up on eBay for 100 bucks and up. So... nope.
EB now has a different color variant but .. it's still 40 fucking dollars so maybe fuck off Todd.

I spent a few hours over the last 3 days going through some bins I brought home from storage to sort what's being kept and what to sell from them.

I've decided to trim my McFarlane Multiverse to certain Bat family, Flash family and Superman family figures, along with the few GLs I have, and a couple JLA members (Manhunter, Booster and Blue Beetle, and a few others.
I'm trimming my SWB down to MY iconic versions of the main cast, Vader, Storm Troopers and my Mandolorian crew.

I still have to set up a spot to photograph it all and figure out WHERE I'm going to try selling it, but, progress.

A good Boxing Day tradition that even us peasants can participate in... if you have the day off after Christmas and nothing to do, box up anything worth donating, trash or recycle what's worth trashing, and put up for sale what's better off selling, and donate the money to a charity of choice. For me, there will be some figure purge, but also a lot of books and comics that quite frankly I'm not going to read again, and old clothes that quite frankly I'm not going to fit in again 😅

Spring cleaning with the Christmas spirit.

We actually had a really hard time this year with donating anything used. Whether through actual charities or even just on FB groups designed for re-homing stuff. Everyone has gotten very picky about things needing to be in their original packaging/unused.

At times this gets to be very exhausting but it’s the trajectory more than the hunt itself that bothers me. Toy collecting has now become such a booming business model that it feels like I’m constantly going from one site to the next to buy up figures with increasing frequency. Not sure how much longer I can keep this up. On the other hand, I’ve been fascinated by toys since I was little and I never stopped buying toys. So if I did stop now after 40 years of this, I’m worried I might just wilt away like a hothouse flower.
