Certainly feel free to share pictures of customs and what not, but I thought a thread geared more for trying to figured out how to achieve that specific character or look you're aiming for might be useful. Between the bunch of us, maybe we can solve issue like this one:

In Classified. I have some ideas but anyone wanna take a shot? Anyone have their own puzzle?
 
Great idea for a thread. His base looks like a darker version of those early Cobra troops with the vest overlay - would something like a Steel Brigade helmet as a head swap work to recreate the masked look? Or a repaint on Big Ben's gas mask, which I think is the closest we've gotten to that look.
 
Ah yeah, damn. I was looking at the balaclava head on the card art but the gas mask wouldn't be too hard, and lady versions (which I would also want) could be done with Shooters head...

Action Force Tactical Head Pack at BBTS

I bought this pack just for the gas mask heads. I think it's pretty close to what you're looking for.

Shockwave is using the blue one, and here's the Policeman wearing the black one, which I think is pretty close to that fantastic Shock Trooper figure. You'll need to find a neck that works, and the head likely won't fit perfectly. It's loose on my Shockwave and sits a little high, but stays in place fine.

I don't know if these gas masks come apart but if you don't mind the skin tone staining, you could probably just drop the whole head in some RIT Dyemore Red for a few seconds to tint the clear section. YMMV, I've never purposely dyed clear plastic, only accidentally lol.

The new Weapons Pack Lima has his shotgun, too. I ordered it just yesterday so I can share pics if you like when it arrives.

Yeah and if you really were a stickler for the color, you could just drop the whole figure in some black dyemore to tint it darker. I'm holding out hope that they make this figure but I kind of like the idea of making one kitbash now that I've tried it. Great thread idea :)
 
Thank you both for liking the thread! I also hope for the figure to get made, especially since he seems like an easy one for Hasbro to throw together now. Do like the blue ninjas and give me a male/female set with alternate ethnicity heads and I will be all over them.
 
Yeah, I changed my suggestion from last night. The cop body is the best choice. I would still use a Grunt/Breaker vest with whatever balacava'd head, and the Breaker helmet. The gear is a bit easier. The cop has the same style riot shield, the AK from the Stinger Driver might be the closest to that tactical AK (WASR-10) for now.
 
Finally got an unmasked head to fit on Barbecue! Should be darker haired but I could paint it later.

But also I got this Barbecue figure second hand and this is why I just don’t like the diaper overlay on figures. What happened to his ass?
