Last Movie Watched

Demeter is on my list. I'll bump it up a little.

I recently watched a 3-movie series on Netflix called "Dracula." It's really good and the second episode is on the Demeter. I haven't seen the Demeter movie to compare it with, but it sounds like there are some choices for really solid Demeter representation.

...venturing into Newgrange for their parents. (Both of which they ended up enjoying once they got there...
I was there last year! I damn near missed the bus back. It was a combination of being absolutely, uncontrollably enthralled with every rock carving and arc of the horizon and a seriously dangerous dogshit sense of direction. How do you get lost on a hill? 😵‍💫

I was there last year!
No shit?! Awesome. Did you see any other passage tomb or caves while there? We wanted to see one in Sligo but it was closed, but did see some caves at least.
damn near missed the bus back
Ha! I totally get that. I would have stayed inside all damned day if they would have let me. It was seriously a life changing experience for me. And we were on the last bus back as well but luckily the kids were keeping us in schedule.
absolutely, uncontrollably enthralled with every rock carving
Yes, seriously. I told my wife I want I build a replica in our backyard, and she didn't say no!

I just rewatched "Go" in the hopes of being able to show it to my kids (17/14). The sex scene is a little uncomfortable, but I'm trying to not be the typical prudish American parent when it comes to sex.

We have had a few movies with love scenes and usually the kids just give us dirty looks or ask us what kinds movie were trying to get them to watch etc. if it's something that is more gratuitous, I have fallen on the floor while shouting "cramp, cramp" and usually draws their attention from the hanky panky. I can't think of any beyond Terminator, heh. But apparently our kids are more prudish than we are.

Also on the subject of latest movie, for me it was The Accountant. Finally tried it and immediately wanted to watch it again since I tend to do that with movies I enjoy, just dwell on them like that, but I've had to kinda sneak rewatches since I got married heh.

Alien: Romulus. As I gathered from the trailer, a pointless effort that brings nothing new to the franchise with generic story and non-characters. The kills weren't even interesting. That said, it's not terrible. It's nice looking and can be useful to kill some time, but I wouldn't recommend the film to anyone. My buddy really liked it and he's usually more of a snob than me.

Really hoping Hawley's series will make me care about this universe again.

After some set backs, I finally got to see Clown in a Cornfield. It was really good. Some changes from the book, but it kept most of the stuff I think it needed.

Finally watched Barbarian after 2 years of somehow staying unspoiled on the premise. I liked the first 40 minutes a lot, but then it turned into...something I didn't find compelling.

Just watched The Predators (2018) because I'd been shopping for NECA Predator figures and was like wait, there was a Shane Black Predator movie?

Now I know why I never heard about the Shane Black Predator movie.

If the only legacy that movie has was the shot of the murder dentist from Brooklyn Nine Nine shooting himself in the head with a shoulder laser, it's time and money well spent.
