. . . all I’m gonna say is that I am clearly at least somewhat more maximalist than most about Classified, and FAR less organized in my collecting than like . . . all of you.

And you'll keep buying them anyway. You're gonna whore yourself out to those '90s characters so hard when you see them in Classified. You know it, I know it, everyone on this forum knows it.I'm suffering from "they really haven't delved into the eras I'm not interested in" figures. Especially looking at the made/not made figures list The Scream Man made this week. They hit my favorite eras HARD, so when I come up with a top ten wishlist it's actually tough cos my unmade dream figures are a short list. My "that'd be cool" list is pretty long, but mostly vipers or late stage characters I don't know well. There's really only 5 or 6 named Joes I'd call beloved nostalgia picks I still need, but plenty of "hey I had him, neat" ones.
My youngest is only 11, and I don't think my oldest (16 in a few weeks!) is going anywhere anytime soon. So I've just accepted the fact that I'm going to have to start putting up overflow toy shelves in their bedrooms. It is what it is. We all have to make sacrifices.Yeah, I just make sure my kids get a good education and have high self esteem so when they hit 18 they move out all on their own and then I take over their rooms. I got one already out the door, and another in January. So much space for activities!
Did that for 6 years. Living in temporary housing with just enough space for a family of 5. My sons closets where filled with storage bins. Only had a small hand full on display at a time.My youngest is only 11, and I don't think my oldest (16 in a few weeks!) is going anywhere anytime soon. Considering I had zero attachment to Budo or Slice & Dice and went crazy for those characters this year? Of course. I'm just impressed they've checked off so many of my must haves already so aside from a core few, I'm pretty close to everything else being just awesome bonus material. And you'll keep buying them anyway. Oh bummer.Did that for 6 years. Living in temporary housing with just enough space for a family of 5. My sons closets where filled with storage bins. Only had a small hand full on display at a time.
Keep rubbing it in. They're basically just starting on a lot of my preferred stuff. Except for making sure to go out of their way to IMMEDIATELY start the line by shitting all over my favorite ARAH figure ever, and one of my favorite action figures ever more generally.Considering I had zero attachment to Budo or Slice & Dice and went crazy for those characters this year? I don't know if it'll make you feel any better but old school Destro and Spirit were among my first must-haves and I had to buy them both MULTIPLE times to not get dud, frozen hips on them. I literally had to get Destro from a third party seller, opened out of the package and confirmed he wasn't stuck like an old man who needs a hip replacement. Yeah, the early figures were tough. I've heard enough issues about Spirit that I opted not to get him even when I see him on deep discount. He doesn't mean much to me so it's better to just avoid. But that 'Ninja Force' Storm Shadow hurts so bad.I don't know if it'll make you feel any better but old school Destro and Spirit were among my first must-haves and I had to buy them both MULTIPLE times to not get dud, frozen hips on them. I keep messing with that Storm Shadow trying to really like him but I just keep going back to the V1 I have. (Which ALSO had tough hips, but I do have a version of him who doesn't fight being posed.) We're due for a new Storm Shadow I think. He deserves another good figure. I swear the "snow" version of him is one of the rare total flops for me too, just doesn't do anything cool enough to make me fall in love with it. V1 lives permanently on my desk though next to the first Snake Eyes they released.Yeah, the early figures were tough. Haw! This is brilliant. I'm genuinely excited for you!Yeah, I just make sure my kids get a good education and have high self esteem so when they hit 18 they move out all on their own and then I take over their rooms. Yeah, I would love to take over a room for all my nerd stuff and let my wife have the bedroom walls all for her stuff, but even with the economy before this year I didn't see that happening. Instead I'm trying to see about adding more room in case one day we have to share the house not just with my kids but also their significant others. And their kids.My youngest is only 11, and I don't think my oldest (16 in a few weeks!) is going anywhere anytime soon. Ugh. My daughters have the biggest closet in the house so they have bin custody.Did that for 6 years. Living in temporary housing with just enough space for a family of 5. My sons closets where filled with storage bins. Only had a small hand full on display at a time.
Yeah that's a great feeling. Just sit back and see what else they come up with to blow up our skirts.Considering I had zero attachment to Budo or Slice & Dice and went crazy for those characters this year? Of course. I get like that with space, and my star wars and marvel shelves are nicely spaced out, but Classified are starting to cluster up.Oh bummer.
Maybe ironically, I don't even actually use all of the space I -could- use for my collection. I get weird about things feeling too cluttered. So I've got some favorite figures on the bookshelves downstairs, and a few small displays up here (mostly a Joe display, a Savage Crucible display, and a small Star Wars display) as well as a couple of newer figures I don't know what to do with yet like Razor Ramon and the KS Smilodon Dino-Riders homage. If I start putting out more than that, it'll drive me crazy and I'll start to hate everything.
But they were the good old days! I had the same, and two mannequins in Star wars costumes! Before my son was born, his room was my office and it was floor to ceiling figures on two-and-a-half walls. I don't know how I lived like that. Just thinking about it now makes me jittery.
Yeah that's a bummer..I assume it's the NF Storm Shadow? Because mine is V2. Maybe I shouldn't yearn for Snake Eyes V3 so badly.Keep rubbing it in. They're basically just starting on a lot of my preferred stuff. Except for making sure to go out of their way to IMMEDIATELY start the line by shitting all over my favorite ARAH figure ever, and one of my favorite action figures ever more generally.
Actually, your posts on Fwoosh were a big reason I wasn't sure I wanted to get on this line! I am lucky with the Marauder Spirit though.I don't know if it'll make you feel any better but old school Destro and Spirit were among my first must-haves and I had to buy them both MULTIPLE times to not get dud, frozen hips on them. I literally had to get Destro from a third party seller, opened out of the package and confirmed he wasn't stuck like an old man who needs a hip replacement. (Line definitely had growing pains.)

I'm tempted by the BAT, but I think I gotta hold out for v2, if it ever happens.BAT is . . . well damn, considering this is like the fifth time or something we’ve gotten essentially this same figure, he’s REALLY nice. My wife was impressed by the paint: great wash on the painted metal parts, cool finishes on the “blasters”, nice, bright, sharp colors all around. The blast effects work great and are nice and stiff. This is the first time I think they have really nailed the Sunbow BAT colors in any line, and it’s also oddly the most detailed paint job yet. I really dig this guy, great companion to the retro Viper.
The ONLY thing that gives me any hope at all for my favorite ARAH figure ever getting a decent figure in this line is that the version they already made seems to be, at best, universally disliked. The question is just whether they think that specific version of the character is beloved enough to warrant another crack at it instead of just doing one of his twenty other costumes. We're due for a new Storm Shadow I think. He deserves another good figure. I swear the "snow" version of him is one of the rare total flops for me too,
Yeah, that's really cool. I wish they put that kind of detail into more of the weapons for sure. But also, no, I don't love the palette swap. But like I said, I'm also not real committed to having Spirit. It was just 'I remember him from the cartoon, I should grab him' kind of a thing.I love that he comes with a knife that is clearly supposed to be Damascus steel.
Yeah, you got it -- and I don't know about SE. I think we're in a reasonably good spot with the line now that a gigantic misstep like Storm Shadow is unlikely. Like we've talked about previously, I have a suspicion V3 SE hasn't happened yet because they actually do want to do it right. When they get to him, I'm pretty confident he'll be quite good.Yeah that's a bummer..I assume it's the NF Storm Shadow? Because mine is V2. Maybe I shouldn't yearn for Snake Eyes V3 so badly.
Trust me, I get it. V2 BAT is awesome and has never gotten a solid redo. It’s gonna have to be a ground-up new sculpt, though, if they want to get it right.I think I gotta hold out for v2, if it ever happens.
