Super 7 Ultimates Thread

I actually got made fun of tonight by some dude sleeving Magic cards and shoving DQ Blizzard in his face while using Naruto as an approach on the friend I had with me.

Someone else at the counter was curious about making customs of his DnD party with Lego or toys, and I told them about Mythic and Savage. Dude butts in with attitude from his perch and starts taking stereotypical nerd sarcasm shots at me and toys.

The little Hulk inside my heart was like, "Buddy, I don't think you understand the hierarchy here."
You're a better person than me. That conversation would have ended so incredibly badly for that guy in any number of ways. You guys think I have no filter -here-, but keep in mind that on here I have to type it all out, look at it, and choose to send it. There's -STEPS- on here between my brain and my mouth that do not exist in person.

Also, as much as I love action figures, I often recommend LEGO to people that want to do things like customs of their D&D parties. It's almost always way more user-friendly than action figures, and with all the places you can buy knock-off or 'complimentary' LEGO product, there's SO many options. I think there's at least 5 different companies selling LEGO-compatible armor and weapons and stuff just that I can think of off the top of my head. And a lot of them focus on fantasy/history stuff. Super easy if you're willing to spend the money (and sometimes if you don't care about playability - some of the knock-off stuff looks great but isn't particularly solid).

BBTS daily deal has the Disney wave 3 set for $88. I caved at $22 a figure. Set has Ben Ali Gator, Stitch, Big Bad Wolf and Queen of Hearts if you need a reminder. Of course, I got tired of waiting for Mezco Beetlejuice to arrive so I literally had my POL ship out yesterday. Ugh.

D&D already had their action figures; miniatures. They didn’t need another scale. Not that that is why anyone plays anymore but D&D came out of historical war gaming. Miniatures were always going to be the default.

Oh man, I would have EVISERATED that dude. Someone who plays Magic giving a toy collector shit? Dude, we're all freaking geeks...you don't get to act like you're somehow superior with your card game.

There was a time, but since I choke slammed that kid at the theater* I'm tryna be like Chill Hero Turned Lumberjack In Isolation rather than Thai Stick Fight Rambo, which is always tempting.

*Somewhere on this forum it's explained

Lots of Ultimates are discounted on Amazon since yesterday (Sun Nov 9) - Thundercats Ultimates and Deluxe, Silverhawks, TMNT, GI Joe.

New two figure Thundercat wave dropped at Super7 today.

Red Eye (hooray)

and King Lion-O.... (meh)

I am a huge mark for this line and even for me there is no way they are convincing me to spend $65 for what amounts to a new head with a crown and a cape. Sorry Deluxe Lion-O is available for $35 so a $30 mark up for the new head and cape is a non-starter.

Super stoked for Red Eye though. Instant order.

As for that Amazon sale... have to say I'm tempted.

Impostarr for $25 was too good to resist.

The Slayer Black Magic Minotaur for $30 is seriously tempting.

Kull at $35 I'm tempted by as well. The strappy sandles alone would be useful for custom work.

Sigh...

Just do it. You know you want to.

Yeah Wizz-Ra would make a great figure.

The sandals they used on Krull would work for him... I will end up making a custom of him if Super7 doesn't do it.

Wizz-Ra and Zaxx are two of the obscure characters I think would make great figures in this line and I hope Super7 agrees.
