Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

So, I went ahead and took one for the team and picked up one of those white Figma horses from BBTS. I then put Cyclops on him since it’s the same buck Phantom Rider will be on.

Unsurprisingly, it’s small. I don’t recommend anyone wasting their money on it. You’d be better off with a Mythic Legions horse, even though that’ll be too big.

Pulse bumped half the wave to Nov 5 and half to Dec 1.
I just noticed I got all those e-mails too. I didn't see one for Iron Man among them though. Still, looks like we should get the entire Wave much sooner than January. I imagine that will happen with the mini comics Wave 2 as well.

I originally was just going to get Enchantress and Werewolf By Night from this Wave and just wait for an inevitable Deluxe release of Skurge. But I really want this Skurge, in these exact colors. I also kept feeling like I wanted Phantom Rider and Dark Avengers Spider-Man (since I have all the other Dark Avengers, it'd make sense to get him lol)

But even though I didn't feel I needed Warbow, it just looked like a cool toy. Which, made me go back and pick up a Crystar.

I'm sure all of you have had this discussion already, but help me out. Is Hasbro able to make every character from the vintage Crystar toy line? Is that something they could do? Were all those characters featured in marvel Comics?

I absolutely remember the Crystar toy line in the 80's. But I never read the comics and have no idea what Hasbro can or can't make.

So, Crystar is, and always was, fully owned by Marvel Comics. Crystar was Marvel seeing the success of comics based on toy licenses and wanting to get in on the action without having to pay for a license. Crytar and his entire cast was conceived by Marvel and then licrnsed out to be a toy line.

As such every character that appeared in the Crytar figure line is wholly owned by Marvel and can be made available for Legends with no extra layer of negotiation like Rom, or Godzilla or (some) Micronauts would require.

Any idea if the LotR’s Shawofax would work?

Probably would be okay with those Indiana Jones figures

I caved on an Enchantress at EE as she was in stock, but threw in a case of Classified Retro card BATs and Green Shirts to reach free shipping. Of course, coming from EE, it’ll take two weeks to get to me in NJ and I’m sure I’ll find all of those in store before they show up.

Ah man. I wish I knew you were interested in these. I have two of them for my video game shelf and could've taken some pictures.

Yeah, they're nicely sculpted and articulated, but they're a little small, even for the import stuff they're meant to go with.
