Star Wars Black Series

Okay I know the first season of the Clone Wars is old enough to be graduating high school this year, but I swear every day for two weeks something has happened that has made me crumble to dust like a mummy...

For the last two and a half weeks, my back has gone in and out of wanting to work right. When it first went out, it was the worst pain I've ever had in my back. It healed up some, but a week-ish later, it was out again. Healed up, and now it's alright...but I know one wrong move and I'm done again.

I have a theory on bad backs, and it's that we don't get bad backs in middle age, rather we all make one bad decision that doesn't seem like it should mean anything at the time and after that our backs never work right again.

(I had to move a broken treadmill out of my basement last month. That was mine. Hasn't been right since.)

My pals and I rented a house on the Spanish coast a decade back, some of us were on bunk beds (only my second time ever). On the penultimate morning, I completely forgot where I was and stood up, smashing my back into the bunk above at just the right angle to mess up one of the lower discs. It's mostly manageable now but that shit took literal years to get back to a relatively normal state.

That plus a horror story with my uncle in his later years has left me incredibly cautious and wary in my movements nowadays.

I do remember last time I moved house, I had a big crate full of books that was, in hindsight, a poor choice as the sheer weight was crushing. Some tall, relatively slim guy was one of the movers and went to grab the crate. I went to warn him to be careful but he DNGAF and I watched in awe as he hoisted this massive, heavy ass crate up like it was full of feathers and pootled off to the van. I would have crumpled in approx 0.8 seconds if I tried that...

We just had three semi-emergency fixes in the house and all three involved moving all the furniture out of one room into another (or in one case, all the stuff from the basement to the garage). I literally told my partner I need six months before I lift another box of crap. It's not the years, it's the mileage as Indy said, and I definitely flew past my warranty this year overestimating my own strength.

Yup. Taking laundry out of the dryer this morning. Fuck me, man.

I think my back pain, whatever isn't just hereditary, is from all my years of slouching and sitting and weird, awful angles. Who knew that my laziness and irresponsibility would have consequences?! I know I need to sit and stand up straight, but doing so also hurts my back, which I know is moreso a good thing, but still.

Valentine's Ewok is cute. I don't really decorate for Valentine's Day like I do for Halloween or Christmas, but maybe if it goes on major clearance, I'd pick it up just for the shelf. It can be the cutesy, effeminate Ewok that they once shunned but learn to appreciate after he saves them from certain death. Or the girl one.

Not that it's a big deal but I noticed when ordering Kyle Katarn that the box and description say he's from dark Forces one. Which it obviously isn't as he had a completely different design in that game compared to dark Forces 2 Jedi Knight and everything else

Mine is from over a decade of working at the largest liquor store in town, and slinging 200-300 case deliveries almost daily.
