Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

Damn seeing that many Horde Troopers in one shot is tempting. However I have to stick with my two as flankers for Hordak (cartoon version) so they look even more imposing because that Hordak is a smaller figure than current Masterverse releases.

As to Leech being too small I just head canon him as being a small creature who can increase size/mass as he suctions life force. So his natural state is a smaller creature.
That makes sense. Leeches definitely bloat up when they are full of blood.

I got the new Wave of Masterverse too, and like Justice said, these New Eternia figures are just the best versions of these characters. This entire Wave looks amazing. Anti Eternia He-Man is so cool. Maybe my favorite of the Wave. I never care too much about Anti Etrernia He-Man since he is a character that didn't exist through my childhood or even most of my life. I just consider him a new, multiverse character that is non-Canon to the Eternia I know and love.

But this figure, is SO CANON. This bad ass is a force to be reckoned with. I think I will use him as the Hordes version of a Faker. Or maybe even like the Horde went and got him from another Universe and brought to their Canon Universe on Etheria. Almost like an Ultraman for Superman.

But I can't say enough about how great Anti-Eternia He-Man looks. That being said, Mantenna and Mosquitor are amaze-balls! It will be hard for anyone to pick a true favorite out of this Wave. Because once again Mattel crushed it with the New Eternia designs.

Oh, also, I mentioned this over in the Origins thread. But I saw on Facebook where Mattel stated that action figure sales are actually up for them, and they said it was in large part due to Masters of the Universe. That made me happy to read.

When DC had the MotU license, they did a Masters of the Multiverse miniseries where, iirc, Anti-Eternia He-Man was the big bad traveling to different realties to kill other He-Men (He-Mans?) and steal their power. I really enjoyed the DC run of MotU comics.

On Friday, I saw my first Masterverse figure at my local Walmart that I think I've ever seen. Terror Claws Skeletor, in the hands of a fellow collector in the clearance aisle. I suspect it was not complete in some way and returned from a different store, but he never set it down so I didn't get a look.

That was the Masters of the Multiverse series. Absolutely LOVED that because it included all the different iterations of MOTU in it, even the minicomics (which was MY MOTU). The DC stuff WAS fantastic, especially once the Multiverse bit was brought into it! Really loved their crossover with both the main DC and the Injustice universes (especially the bit with Moss Man being Eternia's guardian of the Green, essentially establishing him as MOTU Swamp Thing). The Thundercats crossover was really fantastic as well.

I haven't read any of the Dark Horse comics yet. Are they worth diving into?

One thing I will say is kind of annoying with this line right now is that they’re not producing enough of the newer waves.

I think I just completely missed Cobra Lhan at this point. And I’m kind of hopeful I’ll get anti eternal he man but we will see

I havent read the new Dark Horse stuff either. I usually wait for the trades.
Same. I know they at least have a trade of the Revelation stuff, but haven't looked much beyond that. I know there was a New Eternia series at one point, but I don't know if that has ended or still continues at this point.

The current mini is Sword of Flaws but I think only two or three issues have released so far.
